Another good read by Sofie Kelly

I do have to say that the formula is getting to be more predictable in each successive tail. I really like the narration, and of course I love to hear of Kathleen‘s antics with Owen and Hercules. Being a cat lover, how could I possibly resist?

Good feeling story. Something to take my mind off the world today with all the fighting and resistance in the USA at this time. Thanks Sofie for the light hearted animal story in a small town.

Owen and Hercules help Kathleen solve yet another murder with their intelligence and sly sleuthing. Kathleen herself is quite a good investigator, always seemingly a step behind Marcus Gordon. I love how those two interact, trying so hard not to show their intense attraction. Another great one for the online bookshelf!

Magical cats

I have been enjoying this from book one and can hardly wait to go to the next book and see what happens next! Very well written and very well done and Cassandra’s narration is wonderful!

What did you love best about Cat Trick?

After spending my younger years with the heavy duty mysteries, I enjoyed the animal and lady snoops. It was just relaxing, no hold your breath or stop reading to collect your thoughts or wonder why or how someone could be so morbid. Just good old fashion who done it story. I love that the cats turn out to be magical, nice touch..

Great, relaxing story!

I love this series by Sophie Kelly! It’s been months (I know…two MONTHS!) since I’ve listened to anything else! Each book feels like sitting down and catching up with old friends. I have six cats (and one poor dog who just can’t ever win with them) so I relate very well to the main character Kathleen, who finds and then chides herself for talking to her cats and thinking they understand. I’m guilty of the same thing…

Once again, right up to the end of the book, I was not entirely sure of “whodunnit.” I have realized as I’ve gone through this series, that for ME, solving the mystery isn’t really as important to me as the interactions between all the characters — ESPECIALLY the amazing and talented Owen and Hercules, cats extraordinaire!

I wish I were listening to these books in the order they were written, because now that I’ve found some of the earlier stories, I know how all the romantic relationships between the main characters have worked out.

There is ONE book I have not been able to find on Audible so far from Sophie Kelly, “Copycat Killer.” I hope I will find it somewhere in some form…I’m down to the last two books by Sophie Kelly (and the wonderful narrator, Cassandra Campbell(. Finishing the series is going to feel like moving away from home and being very homesick for family and friends…

I am always sad when these stories end.
