About this listen
"Though in the self-help category, Carpe NOW is much more than that—it is life transforming! The author tells us, "I lived the information in there, and it’s already changed my life."
He adds, “My goal in the book is to share all of me to hopefully help someone find all of them. I pour my heart out in the book. I am extremely transparent with my life stories—my successful, tumultuous journey to discover my authentic self.”
In Carpe NOW there are 10 habits to digest, which take you on your own journey of discovery. The discovery process is to find the authentic you, which will lead you into your best life. The best possible version of yourself. The person you are meant to be. The life designed only for you and you alone, as no two people were designed the same. “We are all uniquely created for a reason and this reason is our purpose in life,” Barrena writes.
Throughout Carpe NOW he tells us, “An abundant life waits for you. It waits for all of us. This authentic you takes you there. It knows how to get there. No other part of you has that key. What are you waiting for? Let’s start the journey.”

Story
The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
The book of Enoch was thought to be lost for over 2,000 years until, in 1773, a traveller brought three copies back from Ethiopia. Whether or not this ancient book was actually authored by Enoch, the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah, is an ongoing debate among historians and theologians. But all recognise the book of Enoch as one of the most important apocalyptic works outside of the Bible.

Highly recommended book about getting to know your authentic self
The book’s focus on authenticity resonated in a way that you don’t often see with other books in this genre. The author broke down a plan to a more fulfilling life in a simplistic and practical manner. I churned through the book in a few days. It is entertaining from start to finish, largely because of how the author seamlessly integrates gripping stories from his past into how he was able to achieve a more fulfilling and authentic life. I highly recommend it.
