About this listen

Katharine Ashe is poised to become the next superstar of historical romance fiction, having already garnered enthusiastic praise from some of the genre's elite - including Lisa Kleypas, Kat Martin, and Sabrina Jeffries. With Captured by a Rogue Lord, Ashe again grandly flourishes the winning mix of danger and passion with outrageous action and amazing sensuality that made her previous novel, Swept Away by a Kiss, an unadulterated delight.

An unforgettable Regency romantic adventure, Captured by a Rogue Lord concerns the passionate exploits of a titled British lord and reluctant pirate endangered by his desire for an inquisitive beauty who's coming perilously close to uncovering his secret identity.

Contains mature themes.

Great writing/Narrarator sucks

This author writes great juicy stories with interesting and adventurous back stories But NARRATOR NEEDS TO WORK ON HER MALE VOICES. She marry well until she does the main male lead like a high voiced, nasally, annoying voice. It literally will state, “he whispers in a low voice”, and she still uses the high pitched, nasally, and arrogant voice. She does the other voice’s good. I hope she works on that. It’s super irritating that she still keeps it the same and sounding annoying.

Distracting narration

You would think that if you are narrating a book that has nautical terms you are not familiar with, you would at least learn how to pronounce those words correctly. As I listen to a book I orally correct mispronunciations and this book had me doing that way more than usual. The story was okay but I would not recommend someone read it. I guess that’s why it is free.
