Publisher's summary

Summer camp turns sinister in Camp Murderface, a spooky middle-grade listen perfect for fans of scare masters like R. L. Stine and Christopher Pike.

The year: 1983. The place: Ohio. The camp: Scary as heck.

Camp Sweetwater is finally reopening, three decades after it mysteriously shut down. Campers Corryn Quinn and Tez Jones have each had more than enough of their regular lives - they’re so ready to take their summer at Sweetwater by storm.

But before they can so much as toast one marshmallow, strange happenings start...happening. Can they survive the summer? Or will Camp Sweetwater shut down for good this time - with them inside?

Good story with no ending

I really enjoyed this performance of Camp Murder face. It was enticing and entertaining. As an adult, I didn't find the story or characters childish. The reason I didn't give this story five stars is because it has no ending. Many questions are left unanswered. And then, in the literal last minute of the story, the literal end, there are even more questions raised. Maybe the author was teasing a sequel, but this book is not presented as book 1 of a series. So that was very disappointing. However, this is a kids story, so it's not like I'm desperate for answers.

Enjoyable!

In 1983, Corryn Quinn is forced to go to this camp where she meets Tez Jones. The two befriend each other and notice something is going on in camp. They will have to figure out what’s going on.

I give this book 7 out of 10 Stars or 3 ½ out of 5 Stars. Both Narrators were good for Tez and Corryn.
