Call me Dragon. It’s the last thing you’ll ever do.

Blitz the Devastator has never done a decent day’s devastating in his life. Fireless, artistic, and shunned by his Dragon Clan, he struggles to pillage even the meanest village. A future full of misery and failure beckons.

This much is true until the day the burly brown Dragon successfully - imagine that - kidnaps the Princess Azania. As a black Princess of T’nagru, this spirited beauty is by definition the most unforgettable woman in the 17 realms. Knights errant, men-at-arms, and sundry Princes expire at her feet in driveling worship.

Unfortunately, they all want his scaly head on a platter shortly thereafter. Goes with the territory.

To Blitz’s consternation, the royal nuisance refuses to behave herself and be a typical pampered Princess. With humour, unconventional flair and the odd stomp of her diminutive slipper, she sets out to reform her Dragon.

One question remains. Who will save the Dragon from the Princess?

The characters, humor and story kept me interested to the end. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I absolutely loved this book! It is so heartwarming but hilarious at the same time. I felt a kinship with this sarcastic dragon and princess that I was so sad when I was getting close to the end of the book. I hope for more of this world of dragons!

When Blitz (ends up just dragon) kidnaps Azania they end up forming a connection the more time they spend together.

a fun dragon fantasy romp where the dragon is the main character for once. I liked the humor in this book as well.

I will be blunt and to the point- if you want a book with whit, whim, action, adventure, humor, princess and dragon who act like siblings who tease each other (after the fact that the dragon kidnapped the princess for a certain fate), and at times, the "mighty devastator" dragon has a very soft AND protective heart for this princess who he has become so fond of.

I could not get enough of the humor. The author wrote this book in a way that reminds me of my high school English teacher who LOVED to use big words. Marc used big words that actually fit quite well not only in the book, but it also made the friendship between princess and dragon more entertaining and enjoyable.

Also, the narrator (Kyle Westmaas) did a fantastic job. Spot on with the characters, humor, emotions. Everything. Well done Kyle!

If you have listened/read to:
Dragonia: Rise of the Wyvers by Craig A Price Jr. (and the other books)
All Dragon books by Craig Halloran (which is about 40+ books)
Rise of the Dragons (Morgan Rice)
Call Me Dragon: Dragon Fires Rising by Marc Secchia
Guardian: Magical Beasts books By: Geoffrey Saign

Then you will very much enjoy this!

I will tell you this- hands down you will enjoy this book! Very, VERY refreshing and humorous! I can go into more detail, but why do that when you can just get this book and start listening! Well done Marc. Well done!!

I love a good dragon story, this one is exceptional. I chuckled often at the wit and snarkiness of conversation between the princess and the dragon. Princess Azania, the black Princess of T’nagru, also known as The Black Rose of the Desert. Blitz the Devastator, the near-sighted, ear-infected brown dragon. Blitz rescued the princess from the tower of Prince Florick. From that point, their adventure and relationship blossomed. Through noble knights attempting to rescue the princess, and raiders attempting to capture the dragon, they journeyed on. Azania had no desire to return home and due to family disputes, Blitz, now simply called “the dragon” had no family. Their relationship grew and they depended upon each other. Blitz had suffered jeering and sneering all his life as a Devastator without fire; a plotline I’m sure to be remedied in the future. Learning that Azania’s home kingdom was under siege, they reluctantly went to help. It’s truly a wonderful story. It reminds me of “Vainqueur the Dragon” by Maxime Durand, another dragon point-of-view tale. I have the next book ready to go.

I was not sure about this book but was sucked in and now consider it one of the best I’ve heard. The quips had me laughing out loud and I was very excited to learn there are more in the series!

Surprise

I love this book! Imagine my surprise when I finish the book and find out it’s apart of a series! I have to get my hands on the rest of them some how. I read a lot of dragon books and many of them are from the view of the humans who walk beside them. This one is from the dragons view. The relationship between Dragon and his princess is amusing. I love this. Anyone who wants a good laugh and loves dragons or even the youth would love this book! I whole heartedly recommend.

Hilarious

This story was fantastic to listen to. Wonderfully executed by the narrator, this story is told with several very keen dialects and voices. An impressive undertaking that gave due weight and credit to a distinct vocal range from males and females, and from humans to dragons.

This story itself is wonderful and covers several topics, including racism, bullying, and depression, but told from a dragon's perspective, showing how racism looks to an outsider, how bullying truly impacts others, and how a friend can be the only light in the world when goong through depression. This author was absolutely amazing.

All in all, this is an excellent book. It should be noted that there is a trilogy of books all sold together, but if you're unsure and need a second opinion as to getting it, then I wholeheartedly support this work and it's hysterical humor, wondrous world-building, and artistic alliteration throughout.
