Publisher's summary

Faced with increasing pressure from rebels, the tyrant king of Dargenn must force a war with the rival nation of Relan to unite the country behind him. To help create chaos, he turns to the most feared assassin in the world, the Raven, a man cursed by ancient demons and forced to kill at their whim; if he fails, he dies. Using his knowledge of the Raven's masters, the king forces the assassin into a contract to kill the only individual who might threaten his plans, a powerful sorcerer and scholar named Enias.

But the king may have just handed the Raven the key to breaking his curse once and for all.

Loved it

Enjoyable plot, wonderful characters. The reader took a minute to get used to, but love him once I did!!

enjoyed!

This story was easy to listen to and had a good flow to it. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a book that is not going to hurt your brain, remembering all the characters, or listening to a whole chapter where there author is describing what the character looks like or what the scenery looks like.... Don't get me wrong, I love me a good book with scensory overload, but not all the time. Sometimes I enjoy a book I can listen to while I work and don't have to think too hard about to fallow along. Also, I have listened to many books over the years and some that were "easy listeners", were not the most thought out books and were just full of fluff. I think the author did a great job telling a story that was interesting but also simple. I am looking forward to his future books and wish him the best of luck!

Great!

This is a very fun book and I loved my Mac’s was so long, yet so very well balanced that it didn’t die. It made for such a fun listen
