Acerca de esta escucha

The signs are everywhere. China unilaterally claims the entire South China Sea as sovereign territory, then builds artificial islands to bolster its claim. It suddenly activates an air defense identification zone over the East China Sea, and threatens to down any aircraft that does not report its position. It builds roads into Indian territory, then redraws the maps to show that it is actually Chinese territory. The People's Republic under President Xi Jinping is quickly becoming The Bully of Asia.

this book should be taught in every school and University. It would wake it up American people on what liberal presidents have allowed to happen giving China the power it has. it is about time this country stands up and follows the suggestions at the end of the book

Most riveting book I've listened to in some time. Time to get real about China.

Excellent!

Learn why China is the greatest threat to Anerica, the world’s democracies and freedom. The CCP subverts its own population and now is seeking to do the same to the world. Americans should understand these facts and work to ensure that China in the end will fail.

The narrator is now my favorite narrator. He kept me interested in what is already a great book. I'm gonna play it over just for memories sake, but it's informative.

Great listen

Great for getting the big picture of China's history and where their inferiority complex stems from.

A little dated but still good.

A thorough analysis of the Chinese Communist ambitions in the world, based in the author's deep understanding of Chinese history, culture, and mindset. This book should startle American readers; Communist (more like Stalinist-fascist) China loathes us, openly so. What will we do about it, given how many nice, plastic baubles they make for us?

Must-read book for understanding China's ambitions

It’s a must read and in addition to this you should listen to dan Carlin’s hardcore history podcast. It fills in gaps on before and backs up what the author says.

Would you consider the audio edition of Bully of Asia to be better than the print version?

The printed book is great but the audio mispronounces the word "hegemon", which is a problem because nearly every 2nd paragraph contains the word, as it is the central idea of the book. Very annoying. It's a shame because the book addresses the most important political issue of our time (the rise of China) and everyone should read or listen to it.

Great book but poor pronunciation

The intense competition and aggression from China will make America intensely stronger and better. Innovation and change will accelerate with fantastic results. Meanwhile, we’re all in for a very bumpy ride.

What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger

Although the author clearly had a strong bias against the CCP and in some aspects, China, he covered some important topics and did so in a concise and engaging way. The reader was good but mispronounced some of the Chinese names and words in the book, unfortunately.

Worth a listen
