Kept me intrigued

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I read this story in order long ago but I've jumped around when listening to the audio versions and didn't remember much about Brendon's story - not that it wasn't memorable, but there are just so many.
I was a bit worried about the celebrity aspect in this one, but it's handled very well and very subtly.
Great series, great love story.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

The narrator who gave a voice to Brendon did a very heavy southern accent and it generally worked but was somewhat unintentionally funny during the love scenes. Lots of giggle-worthy moments.

Good Story, Bad Performance

I liked the story, but I had a hard time listening to the person who did Brendan's voice. I even found myself laughing at the way he pronounced certain things in moments that weren't meant to be funny... It definitely made it harder for me to enjoy it.

I'm just not a big fan on the voices

I actually love the storyline itself but they shouldn't kept the same people whom read the book the last time. But again I really enjoyed the book.

I Enjoyed The Walker Boys

If you could sum up Brendon in three words, what would they be?

Brendon book surprised me I thought it would be my least favorite but it turned out to be a Good Book and a Good Listen.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Sniper Boys added an additional twist that has me waiting on there story.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

Good

Boring Jerk & Wimp

From her brief appearances in previous AI books, I thought Cheyenne would be a strong, assertive & interesting woman. No such luck! Evidently, every woman who meets a Walker brother is willing to give up all independent thought and self respect. It's like the Stepford wives, Texas style.

Brendon had potential to think with more than his dick - he almost seemed to have real feelings for Cheyenne. Then, as soon as they become intimate, Brendon reverts to being a self-absorbed jerk. He has to be in control, his sexual needs are all important, he "commands" her body, he does things to her, not with her. Yuk!

I found it difficult to believe that Cheyenne, who had the drive & determination to become a successful entertainer, would instantly morph into a boring wimp around the emotionally stunted Brendon. Cheyenne's vibrant personality & IQ seemed to fade the moment she had earth shattering sex. What a disappointment...

Brendon wasn't sexually violent with Cheyenne (at least not in the first half before I got bored & quit listening), which was a nice change from the sadistic assholes in some other currently popular books.

So Disappointed!!!!

What disappointed you about Brendon?

I loved this whole series and was so excited to finally get Brendon story... What a disappointment. I think the narrators had a lot to do with it... the voices they tried to do were awful and the whole story was just so boring compared to all the rest of the Walker Brothers. This almost seemed like it was a book forced to get the last brothers story told. So disappointed.

Would you be willing to try another one of the narrators’s performances?

Not sure if I would listen to these narrator's again. The guys trying to do the females voice was horrid and I mean horrid. And the same went for the female trying to do the males voice. I usually love when you have more then 1 narrator and love when you get a male narrator but this time around it was HORRID.

Any additional comments?

Hate that the series ended this way - with Brendon story being so boring... I hate to say this because I truly loved all the other Walker brothers stories.

Disappointed - had huge potential

Lame ending to the series. Cheyenne was a disappointingly weak character. They could have done so much more with this last installment.
I'll break my rule of not giving any spoilers by telling people not to waste time like me assuming the whole book that the twins would end up having a double wedding, even though it kept mentioning how Braydon and Jesse were having trouble committing to a date.
And they never leveraged Cheyenne's fame. I was really expecting a concert scene. maybe a public love declaration. something. Guess I'm spoiled by authors like Kristen Ashley and Kristen Proby for adding interesting plot dimensions on top of the explicit sex scenes.
Even the cameos by the previous books' chsracters were lame.
And the main plot thread around her stalker lacked any suspense or intrigue.
What a waste. If you read all the other books (and some were better than others - I loved Ethan's story and Travis's was hot; even Braydon's had decent development - of Brendon's character no less) - you could seriously skip this one. They have a lot of uninteresting sex and end up together. That's it.

Terrible Narration

On a whole it was a good story but Rock Engle was a TERRIBLE choice to narrate this book. His "accent" especially during sex scenes was annoying at best and almost unbearable at times to the point of cringing. I LOVE Nicole Edwards and was really disappointed that the last book in the series fell flat :(
