About this listen

High-powered executive Steven Kerner has no idea his tightly wound American dream is about to come crashing down. His high-profile, high-octane life has always provided everything he's wanted. Or so he thought. When his unresolved anger threatens his marriage, and his attempts to fix it only drive the one he loves farther away, he is pushed to the brink. An invitation from mystery man Andy Monroe may be the greatest hope Steven's ever been handed.©2009 Bill Thrall (P)2009 Oasis Christian Fiction Fiction Genre Fiction Inspiring

Loved the story. Loved the characters, although it would have been nice if there were different voice actors for each of the characters. Especially Bo and Carlos.

An intriguing read

I was both drawn in and made very uncomfortable all at the same time. Bo’s Cafe gives a realistic view into the heart of a man working towards being healthy as a father and a husband. Must listen to! Narration was great!

Men - this will challenge you!

This kind of book is normally not my style, but since I listen to “on my worst day “I decided to give this one a shot. It did not disappoint. These are incredible books with incredible principles that touched me to the heart. This book was almost written about my life … kind of crazy. I highly recommend it and this will get many listens from me.

I think this book is phenomenal explores a married man and the trouble that he faces with insecurities and himself and his abilities. A man can be a prisoner of his own, making in the case of some people it can be rage, drugs, or some kind of vice or behavior that not only hurts itself, but others around him, and God is not present in your life and you don’t trust them with your life. It is impossible to see and what about this book is that we can’t fix ourselves only Jesus can fix us, but maturity only comes when you’re in community with your fellow questions helping you walk your human imperfection and a safe place. It may not be comfortable but what makes it safe is that no one is going to judge you and what you will get is compassion, encouragement, and support. All that is part of God’s grace on earth.

That God’s grace is for everyone
