Slow but thrilling

This book seemed to have a slow burn but constantly gave me an anxiety about what could go wrong. The description is great and the story seemed to be over far too soon. It's the ending you won't see coming.

Great plot twist

Loved the slow beginning and interesting story and plot twist. I would recommend it for those that love to listen to horror and mystery

Godd story, narration was of putting

The story was entertaining and an easy one to follow. The narrator was off putting and made it hard to get into the book. It was read in a very breathless, sultry way that didn't fit with the story.

wow

I was expecting the dark twist... but then it just kept twisting. Great commentary on boundaries and the implicit biases of women being "softer" or "nicer" than men.

what an ending

this is a must read for dark romance fans! the love story is so enthralling but there's enough foreshadowing to let you know SOMETHING is coming just not how it will play out. the twist at the end had me gasping and rewinding to make sure I heard it correctly. SO GOOD.

Refreshing but irksome

It was genuinely refreshing to read as sapphic horror is not a very common genre. Still, unfortunately, I found myself cringing throughout the novel as our protagonist overdid the whole I’m-not-like-other-girls-I-read shtick. We’re also made to believe this woman is a “genius” when we’ve been given not only no reason to think so, but an abundance of evidence in the other direction. Though, I might be biased in disliking our protag because the narrator’s performance was so painfully awkward.

Actually Disturbing

This book got to me. It's been quite a while since a horror novel did that. I can't recommend it enough. At first I hated the narrator, but I quickly got used to her odd cadence. The narration grew on me. It's not long, give it a go!

the ending

remind me of a more gruesome and LGBTQ+ cackle it was enjoyable I appreciate it kind of funny but sometimes boring

COULD NOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS!!!!

This book is a work of art! I loved the short ‘n sweet chapters, the beautiful language throughout the story was dripping with sensuality, I wanted to jump into the book and be one with those muffins and the muffin maker. I knew whatever was going to happen would be thrilling, and boy was it! Delilah Dawson is a word genius 😉 I wished it would never end! But it was such a lovely little thing and I cannot wait to read it again.

I usually never do a book review but i had too for this one Particularly made me so mad Rate this book 1 star started out slow had my interest for 20 percent in the beginning an maybe the middle but for the most part it was slow i find it lagging was only toon in for the twist when it finally come it was predictable an repetitive i had hope maybe the ending would be better than the twist it was interesting i will say
