Wow! I completely devoured this book! It was a truly unique and refreshing experience, unlike anything I’ve encountered before. The supernatural elements were fascinating, weaving an intricate tapestry that kept me on the edge of my seat. I was genuinely surprised by the unexpected twist at the end—it was brilliantly executed! The conclusion was nothing short of perfect, wrapping up the story in a way that left me both satisfied and in awe. This book has definitely carved its place as one of the best reads I’ve had this year.

Gahhh my heart!!

Gahhhh! I swear this book just makes me want to squeeze my favorite people cuz you never know how much time you have left with them. My heart broke over and over for Annie. People really didn't care about her. It was so sad when she mentioned how she felt when she saw people going on with life unaware of her death, and how it just kept moving on. The book ended on a happier ending than I thought possible, but I'm still heart broken for her.

Incredibly impressed

This book clocked me at every turn. At every guess I had, this book mentioned it moments after the thought occurred just to say “WRONG”. I was genuinely surprised. Can’t wait for more!

it's thrilling, it's suspenseful, it kept me guessing all the way to the end! A truly spooky murder mystery with a supernatural twist. As an October baby and Halloween lover I give this book 5 stars, it has all the cozy autumn details mixed with the classic Halloween horror vibes and the plot is infectious! Definitely recommend for a spooky season read!

Jennifer's Body but make the MC Nesta Archeron!

I absolutely loved this book. The narration, storyline, creepy descriptions and the characters make HLAVB a great spooky read! The MC is such a tough ass b**ch without it being corny! I thought I knew who the bad guy was but I was totally wrong! I follow Codie on tiktok, and can't wait to see what else she puts out!

Wow a thrilling wild ride

Fantastic story, entertaining, funny, extremely cool and a thrilling mystery!!! I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out the story and she was so clever it truly remains a mystery to the end. LOVED It!!

It’s giving 90s R.L. Stine vibes and I’m here for it

Remember when you read R.L. Stine under the covers with a flashlight waaaaay past your bedtime? This is the equivalent of that. I consumed the audiobook and now I need the trophy book. Absolutely loved it and stayed up way too late listening to it.

Not what I was expecting

This story was so good! I was totally caught off guard by where things ended up. The characters, the twist, and the found family dynamic were all just perfect. It honestly felt like I was watching a movie play out! My only note is more of an explanation on Sam and the girl on fire.

Vengeful Justice

I love the story line & the Characters the developments throughout the book. It’s a bit of a slow burn, but once you get through the first few chapters it hooks you. I can’t wait for Codie’s next chapter.
