Saving grace

I was struggling with bitterness and anger after being verbally attacked and falsely accused by a group of people I really cared about and thought they felt the same. I did not know how to process all the bitterness and I was feeling helpless until I found this book. It has helped me process and move forward. Life changing for me.🙏

Excellent. This is one to chew on! Whew

At least in the top 10 and I've listened to hundreds.

It was from a "love/caring" perspective, not condemning/judging.

Which character – as performed by Mark DeJesus – was your favorite?

Ha - The Holy Spirit

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Bitter Free - Yep, even you!

Any additional comments?

This book is amazing. As I face some areas in my life that I think are out of order, I realized that I was dealing with some bitterness. This book gives you a WHOLE lot more than you expect. I've been "eating" this book because I'm determined to live bitter free. Although I knew a lot of the information, it's refreshing to dine at this table. This is a must read if you have any sickness, heavy spirit, broken relationships, etc.

Love it!!!

An Absolute Must Read!

After having read (heard) this book in its audio format I have found it to be extremely helpful, very informative and timely. The information in this book is essential in helping those who are struggling with anger and bitterness. Like mentioned in the book some of us are struggling with anger and bitterness and behaving in unethical and ungodly ways not even aware that there are undealt with issues still lingering in the subconscious realm. This book will help highlight the root cause of our anger and bring light to those who are searching for hope in this area. Everyone should read this book!

I found a lot of value in his perspectives

If you are Christian, you’ll likely find a lot of value in this book. It has prompted me to go back and revisit areas where I still need the healing power of forgiveness to work its miracle in me. Thank you.

Author is good narrator

Often authors do not make good narrators. Mark DeJesus is a rare exception. I would enjoy hearing him narrate others’ work.

Very Practical & Easy to Follow

Love the author's Passion, the book is very practical, and easy to follow. I picked up several truths on the subject. One of which stuck with me the fact of how binding and loosing is associated with relationships and forgiveness...never made that connection but I will be returning to the gospel of Matthew chapter 18 to spend some significant time there!!!

Probably would motivate you if you were a religious Christian, but that’s it

I mean... I got really excited for this book. Was gonna buy the paperback off of amazon because the reviews were amazing. They were so amazing that I couldn’t wait for the shipping time, so I download Audible.

In short, if you were to play a drinking game for every time the author recites a verse from the Bible, you would be dead from alcohol poisoning in one chapter.

As a non-Christian, but as a woman of another faith, I got excited that the author ties spirituality and religion into his message. But all he did was recite recite recite; telling you how Jesus won’t appreciate anger or bitterness, saying that God won’t forgive you if you can’t forgive others.. OK that’s fine, but I was expecting him to give a solution, like suggesting a new mental practice, or a thought process that you should develop. But none of that ever happened. By the time I reached the last chapters of the book, the verse recitations became WAY too frequent, I couldn’t take it anymore. He didn’t offer advice or any coping practices. He just insists that you shouldn’t be bitter, that you shouldn’t be angry, and that negative feelings like those will make you sick in the future. All this is common knowledge, there was no “help”.

I guess, if you are super religious, this book might guilt trip you or in someway “soften” your heart so that you can forgive traumas. Unfortunately, there was no logical method offered to help you become “bitter free”
