Truth about the nature of reality.

Specifically the Shamanism and remote viewing/mediumship points. Dr. Ball speaks from experience not delusions as a lot do in the “spiritual” realm.

Practical, Concise, and Foundational!

This is an extremely clearly worded and concise teaching. It provides all the important foundational topics needed to understand Martin's other works more clearly. This is a great book for sharing with friends if anyone wants to learn more. Highly recommended and excellently narrated by the author. Thank you Martin.

Fun read, but also directly to the point!

This is essential reading for non-dual truth. Martin presents this material in a no fluff style that I really appreciated. Some will not appreciate this and that's ok. Not everybody is ready to hear the Truth presented in such a raw and no holds barred kind of way. After reading many books that all seem to convolute these ideas with so much unnecessary story and fluff, it's very refreshing to see that some people are able to explain it in a more direct way. This book, along with Martin's other books, coupled with my own personal experiences, have guided me to a state of consciousness and being that are well beyond what I ever imagined possible when I embarked on this journey. I hope his books help others integrate the truth of their experiences as they have helped me!

A fun listen--Interesting and thought-provoking

This is one of the more interesting and thought-provoking books that I've listened to. The author lays out his worldview and his understanding of the ultimate nature of reality (metaphysics). He pulls no punches and, interestingly, provides virtually no evidence or argumentation. Here it is, take it or leave it!

His worldview is quite spiritual but rejects much of religious and New Age precepts about souls and the afterlife. This is a worldview and metaphysics that he appears to have developed by taking hallucinogenic drugs, the kinds that are often used in religious and shamanistic work. He's understandably vague about his own drug-taking. But he very much encourages us to try DMT, peyote, etc. He also provides how-to's so that we have profitable spiritual experiences. His idea is that if we take these, we'll embrace the worldview that the author lays out. I wouldn't know!

I, myself, embrace views that the author rejects as New Age fantasy. As I listened, I realized that the author seems convinced that it's possible to KNOW the ultimate nature of reality through personal experience. I have many times had the experience of having a realization through a transformative spiritual experience. And, then, I find that later spiritual experiences have given me higher-level realizations which replace the earlier ones.

I think it unlikely that any particular realization would be one that lays out the ultimate nature of reality. As the author says, we are like characters in a video game. We're not situated well, even when greatly freed from the rules of the game, to understand the fundamentals of the reality that exists beyond the game.

However, we can have realizations through spiritually transformative experiences that help us to lead happier more beneficial lives. I find the author somewhat limited in this regard. His sees the ultimate good as being authentic to one's own personality and desires. For example, if a roommate doesn't like one's singing voice, the author urges that one be authentic and sing anyway. How about having some empathy and consideration? One can always sing when the roommate isn't around. The author even notes that others don't tend to have a good reaction to people who have been liberated in their views in the way that the author has!

The author's limited understanding of what it takes to create good relationships suggests to me that his worldview isn't a description of the ultimate nature of reality. Rather, it's a step forward, and there will be more steps. Nevertheless, this is an extremely clearly-written and thought-provoking book. I've had my own significant realizations listening to it and had fun doing so. I highly recommend it.

Great book to listen

I was pleasantly surprised by this audio book. Love the sound effects and background music. First time I encounter this on audible. The content is very helpful, specially if you have experience an entheogenic awakening. Just thank you!

Full of Contradictions

his viewpoint makes no sense whatsoever. He states that God inhabits the entirety of reality. God is everything, and it is conscious. He claims then that we are God, because we are a part of reality. He also claims that God used energetic symbols to guide reality into being (which sounds an awful lot like manifesting to me). We are apparently a structure of three infinity loops stacked upon an unwound spiral. So far, so good. it may or may not be wrong, but it makes sense. But then he goes on to claim that we are not capable of manifesting, despite being God ourselves and also having knowledge of these energetic symbols.

He claims that astral travel to other realms does not exist, yet he also states that when we take DMT, we are seeing "true reality". For anyone that hasn't done DMT for themselves, this "true reality" he speaks of presents itself as a series of strange and mystical realms. Apparently they both don't exist and constitute true reality.

He also states that prayer does not work and all religious views are just a projection of the ego. This is a very interesting position to hold for someone claiming to have discovered the one and only true nature of reality, both mundane and divine. How exactly are you so sure of the truth of your claims if God does not provide revelation? How can you be so sure that you (and you alone) have encompassed the full picture of what is real? If your insights were not divinely inspired, then how can you know you have not missed something important?

Waste of time and money

I was hoping for something imaginative and profound. After wasting several hours listening and hoping I discovered this is definitely not that.
