Totally recommended!

Even though this book refers to young athletes, I have to admit that it makes a clear and important point about mental health and why we should train our mind and body to overcome those bad days and difficulties in life! I enjoyed this Audiobook in all its aspects and I have to admit the narration was amazing! Very good job.

Must read for any young athlete

The main thing I learned from playing basketball for many years was how important it was to have mental toughness. You could be the most physically gifted athlete in the world, but without mental toughness, it is hard to elevate and reach your full potential. It is incredibly important to learn how to bounce back from mistakes and failures, not just in sports but in life in general. I thought the author did a very good job dissecting this subject and set up a great guide on how to build up your mental game. I particularly liked hearing about the real life experiences the author shared. I would highly recommend this book to any athlete or coach.

I’m CLUTCH! Awesome book!

This book is truly amazing from start to finish. When I first started listening, I asked my son the meaning of “clutch” and he told me exactly! Now we go around saying “Clutch 2023!” I’m also going to begin my Clutch Visualization Journal and will encourage my 9 year old son to do the same.

What I love about this book is that it’s universal ! Being clutch is not just about athletic prowess but it can spill into all aspects and walks of life.
Like the author states, being clutch is a lifestyle.

The author also discusses training the mind in addition to training the physical body.
Learning how to deal with emotions is extremely important - mind over matter.
We’re encouraged not to allow our emotions get the best of us. The author states,
“Get out of your head and back in the game”. This is brilliant ! We need to stop over thinking and just have fun, and don’t worry about being perfect. This section was extremely liberating.

I truly enjoyed the Section on visualization. The author lists studies and let’s us know that visualizing can have similar effects as the actual physical manifestation. I’m going to a Vision Board event tomorrow and this mindset is exactly why vision board gatherings are creating.

The author also informs us that it’s important to be consistent with visualization, and that the reason it’s so effective is that the brain doesn’t know the difference between what you imagine and what actually is.

Lastly, two important takeaways from this book : “The only thing you do in your head game is win” and “The only limitations you have are the ones you set for yourself”. WOW! Brilliant.

I recommend this book to everyone, not just athletes! I’m using both hands and feet on this one — 4 thumbs up!!

training, so important

I personally believe a lot of the truths in this book. However, listening through has made me realize how so important training is. It all starts with our mindset and how we navigate through strict and focused training. The illustrations in this book also help to engage and relate even better. This is a great book and anyone who desire to achieve in life, whether an athlete or not, should get it! Get ready for a transformation.

Right Up My Alley

I'm not only an avid tennis player (national champion) and pickleball pro, but I'm also a functional nutrition practitioner and I must say that this book has it all! There's no doubt that the subconscious mind doesn't know the difference between fiction and reality, so when we create perfect pictures in our mind, we create habits. In spite of my knowledge associated of mental imagery, I still get "mental" when I play singles tennis or pickleball, and it's time for that to stop, and this books is going to help me do just that. I also liked the nutrition section. It's not common to see that in a book on an alternate topic. Body and mind cannot live separate lives! Bravo!

Wonders!

We've always tried to be the best in everything and stand first in everything we've done, whether it's a game, school or anything. But we can not always win. The audio book encourages people to follow sportsmanship spirit and go with the flow of giving your best and practicing ideas to stay confident. The audio book highlights the importance of setting our minds free whenever we do something as Wonders happen when body and mind both are relaxed! Very interesting read!

Best listen of the year!

This is a great listen for everyone, not just athletes. This book has helped me bring new techniques into my coaching, teaching, and life in general. This taught me the importance of remaining calm in stressful situations and the benefits of approaching adversity with a clear mind. This is a book intend on passing along to my athletes and students as well. I will be returning to this for another listen year after year.

Great techniques

This is great for kids who play sports or even adults who may have performance anxiety with anything they do. I bought for my granddaughter to use with her basketball but I learned a lot myself while listening with her.
