About this listen

Sooner or later your parents will need to move; they know it and you know it. So why is no one talking about it?

Even in the best of situations, moving can be extremely stressful. Now add the additional stressors of health issues and physical limitations, time pressures, and financial considerations that can come with aging. Sprinkle in a lack of planning and a strong desire not to discuss what’s next with our parents, and you have the making of a full-blown crisis.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. We can begin the conversation before the time comes and develop a plan that meets our parents’ needs for their next steps in the best way possible.

Having helped more than 1,000 families negotiate later-life transitions, Monica E. Young was a senior move manager who will share the secrets of helping your parents move comfortably, gracefully, and lovingly so they can enjoy their golden years in the best ways possible.

Discover:

  • When and how to begin the conversation with your parents
  • Insider tips and resources to make moving stress-free
  • How to select the best living arrangements for your parents and the pros and con of each
  • Health-care options for memory care, physical assistance, palliative care, etc.
  • What to do if you are in crisis mode
  • How to collect and organize paperwork
  • Important considerations in preparing for end-of-life arrangements and building a legacy

Whether you think it will be a while before your parents will need to move or it’s an emergency that forces a move, eventually your parents are going to need to make a transition. The best possible outcomes for you and your family will occur when you begin the conversation and start planning now; Before the Time Comes will help you do just that.

Organized my family’s actions and goals.

This helpful guide compartmentalized several different scenarios and actions required prior to and during each stage of an elderly parent’s progression through their final decade(s). The actions include everyone and the focus is on the stability, comfort and respected wishes of the parent.
