About this listen

This is a comedic novel featuring a 15-year-old boy named Beetle and his involvement with the production of a film, The Attack of the Biotoxic Bulldogs. It is highly cinematic, both in content and in form. The novel uses a strong cast of characters, each vividly portrayed, believable, and compelling. Combining campy horror movie clichés, modern realism, and nostalgia, this novel will captivate readers of all ages.

A Real Surprise

What did you like best about this story?

The best part about this was the characters.

What does Paul Michael Garcia bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The way he preformed as the bad actors in the movies was funny. It was good to have a voice behind it.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the backyard...

Any additional comments?

This one is a great audiobook. I highly recommend it. The narrator really adds a lot to it.

Unexpected

I thought this was going to be a fun, silly, children's book in the fantasy genre. It turned out to be about a shy boy in the late '90s who gets involved with helping edit a cheesy b-movie that he doesn't feel comfortable doing. The narration is top-notch. This is a fun one to have in my collection.
