The gift of healing presence

I loved this book and his perspective of Healing Presence. This is a book worth reading.

Put your oxygen mask on first!

A cup in the ocean that gets washed, filled up, and is given to others to quench their thirst from. This is the idea of the book “Becoming a healing presence” – how to give the True Healer to other people around you. Dr. Rossi presents Stillness and quietness as the first key factor to attaining this healing presence. This is something that our culture is getting more filled up with nowadays with thoughts of yoga, meditation, etc. But how do you do it effectively? Is there a true Godly presence in the stillness and quietness of the mind? I needed to put this to the test, and it was very hard at the beginning! My mind began to wander and it seemed like I could never get it to quiet down to stop buzzing… but after the struggle, the grace finally came combined with an indescribable peace. Having this be what I listened to on the way to and back from work every day, altered my outlook on the day completely!

What I really enjoyed about this book is that it really pushed me to stop listening to the audio and start practicing right way what it was talking about. “Allowing the healing fire to go through us, will set others on fire around us”

Exactly what I needed

Drawing closer to Jesus, to God for peace and sanity, so we can be compassionate and share peace and sanity.

A Lot of Great Wisdom in this Book

Great wisdom for the Christian. He offers wise advice on how to deepen your relationship with God and how to be a person who brings light and courage into the lives of those we come into contact with.

He also gives much good guidance on contemplation and stillness before God, drawing heavily on the early church fathers.

I love Albert Rossi's narration. He sounds grandfatherly and lovable.

What a sweet book

I've listened to Dr. Rossi on his podcasts, but this is the first book I've listened to. I will now need to purchase a copy of the book. Dr. Rossi has such a calm and comforting way of explaining his points. The personal anecdotes were beautifully woven throughout the book and perfectly illustrated his points. This is a book I intend to listen to and re-read often. I don't buy many physical books these days, but this is one worthy of my library.
