About this listen

Shayla adopted her niece at birth, when her sister turned her back on the baby without a real explanation besides the "strangeness" of the father's people. Aislinn is ill, and the doctors have given up hope, so she takes the girl to Bear Island, where her father and his people live, praying for a miracle. She finds truths she isn't ready to face among a clan of bear-shifters. In Kade, she finds an angry bear denied the knowledge of his daughter's existence. There is more beneath the anger, and when he looks at her, she knows he feels the pull between them too. Their attraction is as impossible as it is irresistible, but they must work together when an outside force tries to remove the baby from both of them.

Quick, Easy Listen

Any additional comments?

Enjoyable and entertaining short shifter story. Even though this is book 3 in the series it can absolutely be read as a stand alone story.

The synopsis tells you everything you need to know about the story.

Shayla is in the process of adopting her niece. Finding Aislinn's father is Shayla's last hope in finding out how to help Aislinn with her medical problems. She finds more than she bargains for when she tracks him down on Bear Island.
Can 2 completely different people find common ground for the love of a little girl.

Lori J. Moran did a good job with the narration. Pleasant voice. Smooth even pace. At times though it sounds like she has something in her mouth this affects the clear pronunciation at times.

Great story and great narration

Received this book free for an honest review. I enjoyed this book. The author did a great job of building the story and the characters. The plot was well constructed and the characters were very easy to relate to. Father and Aunt love the same child as their own and must find a way to resolve their individual relationship with the child. Really enjoyed this book and looking forward to others.

Emerald City Shifters, Book 3

I read this as a stand alone book, even though I knew it was the 3rd in a series. It did not seem to matter at all. It can be read as a stand lone book.
This book is fast paced, and well written. I love sifter books, and this one was no different.
My favorite part of this book, is when he shifts in front of her for the first! I felt it was very well done, and different then most shifter books I have read. (WTG)
only thing i didn't like about this book is i wish it was longer. I hated to to end.

Overall enjoyable short paranormal romance

Overall enjoyable paranormal romance. Who doesn't doubt their choices when they have a past fraught with unhappy memories? And who hasn't had to face decisions that may be right but potentially difficult? Despite being a paranormal romance, these characters have attributes that one can easily relate too. The story isn't long. In fact it is bite size but manages to tick all the boxes that one would usually expect with a such a romance, adding in the cuteness one would expect from a baby.

Really good story

I always enjoy a different kind of shifter story. This was a good one, with the characters starting out thinking of each other one way & then getting to see/hear the change in how they were to each other

wanted to enjoy it

I usually really enjoy books like this however it just seemed like the storyline was to rushed. this book lacked all of the deep descriptive internal monologue that helps to deepen a story giving a stronger pull to the main characters. it simply felt like it could have been much better. not to mention the narration irrated me a bit with how they said Umen instead of the correct word... Human
