But old hatreds and suspicions die hard. Better than volume one

The story was still kind of rushed, but the performance was much better. The random noises were much less prominent in the first.

It's not the entire book.

this is an abridged version. a lot of important parts were left out. takahashi kurita was completely omitted and you only get about half the battle for Luthien.

Good story but room for improvement

Would you consider the audio edition of Battletech to be better than the print version?

Not really

What was one of the most memorable moments of Battletech?

having to back up and listen to some parts again to try to make out what was being said over the sound effects.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Christopher Graybill?

Yes

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Part two in the Clan Invasion Saga

Any additional comments?

Don't make abridged books. It's a rip-off.

Not what I hoped for

I enjoyed the fact that they took the time to add some sound effects to the reading, to add flavor. The narrator did an excellent job as well. I did not enjoy the fact that they cut out a good 3rd or more of actually important or exciting story from this reading.

Great nostalgia trip

As a kid I was obsessed with the MechWarrior games which led me to read a bunch of Battletech books including these.

I would 100% recommend this if you are an old fan of the books looking for a nostalgia trip but I wouldn't recommend it for someone just looking for something totally new to get into.

if you like battle tech you will love this.

if you can get passed the 80's sound effects than you will love it. it has such cheesy sound effects that can definitely be hard to get over but it is a great set of books to really get into the lore behind the clans and the clan war.

Battletech fan, so I reckon I'm biased.

Listening to the series for the lore but staying for the war. Can't wait for vol 3.
