Be Careful what you wish for,

This is an enjoyable book about a young country girl that finds out what it is like when you set your dreams on Hollywood! I have to say that I really liked the characters in this book and how the author has made them so real. I'm not really a romance reader unless there is lots of suspense and mystery, but I thought this was cute. I really did enjoy the story but I didn't care for the narrator, although I know she wasn't yelling the story sometimes it was so loud that it felt like it. I guess Ms. Santoro read the book more than bringing it to life and this disappointed me. I probably wouldn't listen to more of this series if the narrator is the same but I would try someone else. I do like Mr. Rosenberg's writing but I prefer the romantic suspense genre best .
I received a free code for this book from the publisher to listen to on Audible. This review is my own honest opinion.

Do not buy audible narration

The audible narration ruins this book. Text to speech is better on my kindle. The narration sounds like it was recorded on a hand recorder or on a car phones Bluetooth. The re recording sounds distant. The narrator also is very rigid and not relaxed. It felt scripted.

The story is cute but narration is awful. Buy the kindle book if you want to read it.

The narration ruins this story

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The narrator reads this story like she is auditioning for a stage play. She enunciates in an unnatural fashion, and adds "H" sounds all over the place. (For example, she just said "9 hay-em") It reminds me of the way the hookah-smoking caterpillar in Alice In Wonderland spoke. It's super frustrating. She doesn't speak at all like a 20-something from Iowa. She sounds more like Eliza Doolittle trying to impress Henry Higgins with her new-found diction skills!

What did you like best about this story?

I like the story itself, I read the book before I listened to the narration. I actually like the second story (Piper's story) better
