Gas quality tests confirm a methane purity of up to 94%, ensuring commercial viability. Feasibility studies highlight economic potential, with a five-well pilot projected to generate up to 10 megawatts of electricity. Future plans include gas liquefaction, compression and integration into hybrid systems. In renewable energy, Botala has secured a 4 MW solar project and received environmental approval for the Leupane Energy Hub, which will feature a 500 MW solar facility and a 200 MW gas-fired plant. Botala commits 1% of revenue to community programs supporting employment and development. The company’s milestones include winning a solar project tender and advancing strategic energy hubs, aiming for energy security in Southern Africa.
