About this listen

A megalomaniac god is pursuing a millennia-old vendetta, and Leif must learn to wrangle a newly awakened power to either become a hero or a villain. He will leave his old life and run from creatures he believed were reserved for myth and legend. He travels across the realms while struggling to tame the blinding rage that comes with his new demi-god like power. Will Leif survive the intra-realm quest and prevent Ragnarok or will he fail to control his awakening?

it has its flaws

this book was like Norse God's in modern age its really good there are some flaws like this book has a lot of diagalog like a lot but it's one of those books were you know the second book is gonna be better if you are reading this review know that the Mc doesn't get immortality or a status screen just a berserker power Maybe more abilities will come out later I'm might keep it if I do its not going to be my highest priority to get the next book but hopefully he kills a outsider and gets some real strength he is kinda weak rn but later I'm looking up and for some reason to author did the worst depiction of Thor and loki Thor is supposed to be a red head and like he said if there hasn't been war in eons then Thor should be fat and we all know Thor can't use mjoir without his gauntlets and loki is supposed to be a weird emo depiction of a God I really don't know about odin and where are all the other gods there's only 5 not encuding the noorns

A Great Listen

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review.   Leif's world is turned upside down when both his grandfather and mother are killed and an assassin shows up at his door.  Unwillingly, he is dragged into the world of the Norse Gods as one of Thor's Berserker and he must help save the human realm.  The characters are well written, with lots of excitement and axe fights and an interesting plot.  If you like stories based on Norse Mythology, you'll really enjoy listening to this story.

Cool Idea! Starts a bit slow

Norse mythology in modern day. Since this is the first in the series, I assume, it starts a bit slow. Gets going after about hr 4. After that its pretty action packed. would recommend! Builds up to what should be a good second book.

Poorly written

It feels like it’s the authors first book written. It doesn’t seem to flow along but stumble. I tried to listen for half the book but couldn’t make it any further. Very cool idea but poorly executed. Wish I could have my credit back.
