About this listen

He wasn't meant to be on my radar; he was definitely the off-limits guy. My brother's best friend, my friend's ex, but most of all he was my boss. Hawk Carnage resembled one thing, and one thing only. Sex. He used it, he knew it, he lived it.

Hawk owned the largest lingerie company in the world, and I was his leading lady. In business. But now business and friendship were about to be crossed. The lines blurred, and I was ready to dip my toes in the forbidden water. Because no matter how much I said I could refrain from Hawk Carnage, now was not the time. He was to be my fake fiancé. And I was about to sink into that forbidden water, with Hawk's hands clutching my sides.

Lord help me, because I was about to enjoy every moment of it. Even if it was just for fun.

Even if it would ruin everything. I was going to dive in headfirst.

The story in this book was really enjoyable in that you didn't get bogged down with too many details. It was funny, sexy, and just a good listen. I couldn't wait to hear the ending. The only thing I didn't like was the male narrator. His voice did not do the male character justice. He tried to be raspy and sexy but it came out artificial. The voice did not fit the character description. With that being said, it was such a good book I listened to it twice.

Really good story!!

Good story and narrators. I really like this dual POV and would look forward to hearing from them again. If you like romcom, I highly recommend this story.

This is a great collaboration between these two authors. It did take me a little time but not that long to start falling for Hawk. I always enjoy that office romance/ brothers friends type tropes. The storyline held my interest throughout and we were even given a few twists and turns. As we move further into the story I was more and more intrigued with where things were heading and couldn’t find out the events fast enough. Wonderful story and I will definitely be looking into more of these two authors work in the future.

Thought this was going to be a light romance. Was pleased to see there was more to it.

Hawk was best friends with her brothers. Her boss. And wanted her. The aforementioned were all the reasons they couldn't be together. Until...she needed him. Her jerk of an ex had invited her to his wedding. The cheater would win if she didn't show up with someone. Hawk was perfect, hot, strong, and hated the guy for hurting her.

So begins the change in their relationship. He's helping her out. When the situation calls for him to need help, can she be there? Will she?

Lite romance with more.

I enjoyed the story the two authors crafted. It had some light intrigue, sass, and heat!

Ms. Hart did a nice job of narration. Mr. Summers had some difficulty staying in character. Sometimes he would make Hawk's voice sound girly instead of manly and vice/versa for Britta making it feel like the story was jumping around a bit.

Great Story, Narrator's questionable

Yes, I’m a sucker for a good falling for sibling’s bf story and this one did not disappoint! Throw in drama w cheating ex and best friend and I’m hooked. Great chemistry between the H and h. Loved the h’s over protective, meddling brothers...oh, and the violating unicorn!! Great book!!!

Love a good falling for brother’s best friend story

I really enjoyed listening to the people who narrates this book. Biff who narrates for Hawk has a sexy voice. I liked that Have and Britta where on the same level and helped each other out.

Hard to stop listening!!

Short funny and cute story. A bit predictable at times with the drama that happens but still an enjoyable listen.

I initially bought this as my contribution to fighting the TM of the Cocky word in Cockygate 2018. As it turns out this story and the performances are absolutely off he charts! The narrators do the story justice. The story is hilarious and well written. One of the most unexpected surprises of the year. Highly recommend this story.

Cocky Revenge is awesome

This one started out really good. I liked the fake romance theme and was in to that. However, towards the end, there were too many conflicts and plot twists that kept popping up. I had multiple times where I had to rewind the story because the twists came out of nowhere and I was certain that I had missed how we got to that plot-point. But no, they just came up. Another issue I had was the male narrator. Nothing really wrong with him that I could pinpoint, I just didn't think his parts worked. Overall, an okay book, one that I'd recommend reading rather than listening to.

Possibly 2.5 stars, but I'll round up just because
