Not As Good As Anne of Green Gables

I much preferred both the story and the narrator, actress Rachel McAdams, in the first volume of this series, "Anne of Green Gables." It was much more interesting than this somewhat boring follow-up, and the narrator in the second volume, Rebecca Thomas, just didn't cut the mustard. Her voice for Anne, especially, was so high-pitched and annoying I almost didn't finish listening to the book, but I doggedly struggled through it. I am determined to finish out this series as I am now invested in it, but I do hope the reader is a voice actor other than Rebecca Thomas - who may be perfectly fine reading other voices, but Anne's is just not one of them

I love the story but the narration was poor.

Not to be mean to the reader but her cadence was all off. I felt as though I had to restate everything in my head. And Anne sounded about 8.
But I love all the Anne books. I’ll keep searching for a better version.
