Callie and the Gulls Nest are back in the spotlight when a high-profile guest books a room at the bed-and-breakfast. Even though Callie trusts her adoptive father to figure out the mystery, she can't resist using her ghostly contacts to help him narrow the suspect pool.
When Callie gets the call dreaded by anyone in a relationship with an officer of the law, she drops everything to go to the hospital in the neighboring city of Alderbrook. But time in a new city helps her see details about the murder in a different light, and Callie finds herself pulled back into the investigation. Will her involvement be enough to catch the killer before they slip away for good?

Great cozy mystery
I was excited when I heard Eryn Scott had a new series coming out. Both the author Eryn Scott and narrator Jennifer Jill Araya kept me invested from the start. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
Jennifer Jill Araya did a fabulous job and certainly kept me captivated. This was a a book filled with secrets and lies. The intrigue and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat as I listened to this story.
There were a few twists, turns and surprises in Unexpected Vacancy as Callie Norris follows the clues and I have to say that I was taken by surprise on a couple of occasions.
