About this listen

This thrilling romantasy about king’s Blade, Keera, and her epic quest to avenge her lover, save her people, and bring down a tyrant king is the final installment of Melissa Blair’s highly acclaimed series. The Halfling Saga showcases BIPOC and queer representation, love, passion, betrayal, magic, and great battles of the sword and the soul.

“Your land is not the one you take; it is the one you die for.”

Keera has tried to keep her final promise to Brenna, the partner she was forced to kill to save a kingdom—but that promise has led to the most difficult struggles of her life. She’s been at war with her worst self while battling King Damien for the freedom of the Halflings, and she’s lost too many along the way. But when she finally breaks the last seal, unleashing the Fae magic that’s been hidden away for hundreds of years, the conflict seems to be turning in the Halflings’ favor.

Meanwhile, Keera’s discovery of a staggering secret about her lover and the kidnapping of one of her closest allies threatens to tip her back into darkness, but she has no time to rest. Opening the kingdom’s magical seals has transformed Keera in ways even the wisest Fae elders could not have anticipated, and the return of an evil thought long vanquished throws their rescue plans into chaos. And with the kingdom’s Halfling population suddenly posing a risk to the crown, the land is plunged into violence as the king begins a new blood purge. Keera and her allies must gather an army to meet Damien’s forces in a final confrontation of epic—and tragic—proportions.

The stunning conclusion of BookTok sensation Melissa Blair’s epically romantic series will leave listeners breathless as Keera fights for her land, her people, and the promise of a better world.

breathtaking

The series was beautiful, powerful, and challenging. To see a character dealing so honestly with issues I struggle with and find a way to forge a future worth living reminds me that hope can be found in the darkest of fires.

This series needs more attention!

This book was absolutely incredible. A true 6 star read for me. This series is CRIMINALLY under hyped. I am absolutely blow away by how much I was sucked in and invested in the plot, the characters, and their relationships. Please read this series! The first book feels like it has all of the stereotypical romantasy tropes, but they are done well with emotional maturity and the romance does not interfere with/become the main plot. If anything, the romance in this book highlighted the importance of emotional intimacy and how you can still love an imperfect person.

I ate this book up. I laughed, I gasped, I cried. I had to stop and rewind to process and write down such inspiring quotes.

Keera is such an incredible role model of healing, forgiveness, and learning to love yourself. She goes through it during her life and I love who she chooses to become. She is an advocate for herself and for others. She embraces her flaws and doesn’t hold the flaws of others against them.

I loved this journey so much! It has become one of my top 5 favorite series!!

Incredible end to incredible series

I cannot recommend this series more. Melissa Blair ripped my heart in two and then stitched it back together and Kyla Garcia narrating it brought completely new levels to everything. Do yourself a favor and buy this whole series.

Emotionally raw and real

It’s humble, it’s raw, it reminds us we all have flaws. I shall miss the Elven and halflings who got me through the past 4 years.

The ending

there was too much backstory through out the series and not enough getting to the meat of the story.

A great gem

The last book was a great wrap up to the series. I really enjoyed these book. The main character has a great amount of growth. She comes to terms with things she had done and is happy in the end.
