Set in a fractured United States, in the southwestern country now known as Texoma. A world where magic is acknowledged but mistrusted, especially by a young gunslinger named Lizbeth Rose. I enjoyed the voice actors and the story! unique twist by altering outcomes from history to create new "world" . . I was hesitant as I am not a "western" fan... however I was pleasantly surprised and captivated and entertained and now look forward to reading more in this series...
author has her unique style and creative stories... that captivated me to read the Sookie Stackhouse series and watch all of the TruBlood series... I enjoy her ability to portray various characters especially her descriptive ability to capture almost "realistic" and relatable "normal lives" "average people" ....

This is a different spin on the Russian royal family mixed with the Western feel I enjoyed with the Midnight Texas series
The voice acting is great and with the sound effects and vivid descriptions you “see” all the action. I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.
