Story
My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by skydiving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

Story
For dinosaurs, it was a big rock. For humans: Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). When the Earth is hit by the greatest CME in recorded history (several times larger than the Carrington Event of 1859), the combined societies of the planet's most developed nations struggle to adapt to a life thrust back into the Dark Ages. In the United States, the military scrambles to speed the nation's recovery on multiple fronts including putting down riots, establishing relief camps, delivering medical aid, and bringing communication and travel back on line. Just as a real foothold is established in retaking the skies (utilizing existing commercial aircraft supplemented by military resources and ground control systems), a mysterious virus takes hold of the population, spreading globally over the very flight routes that the survivors fought so hard to rebuild.

Story
In the 20th century Earth sent probes, transmissions, and welcoming messages to the stars. Unfortunately, someone noticed. The Galactics arrived with their battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined their vast Empire. Swearing allegiance to our distant alien overlords wasn't the only requirement for survival. We also had to have something of value to trade, something that neighboring planets would pay their hard-earned credits to buy. As most of the local worlds were too civilized to have a proper army, the only valuable service Earth could provide came in the form of soldiers....

Freeman is a genius with an uncommon mixture of memory, intelligence and creativity. He lives in a worldwide utopia, but it was not always so. There was a time known as the Grind—when Freeman’s people lived as slaves to another race referred to simply as “Master.” They were property. But a civil rights movement emerged. Change seemed near, but the Masters refused to bend. Instead, they declared war. And lost. Now, the freed world is threatened by a virus, spread through bites, sweeping through the population.

Story
Matt Hollis is the current wielder of the holy weapon, DÄMOREN. With it, he stalks and destroys demons. A secret society called the VALDUCANS has taken an interest in Matt's activities. They see him as a reckless rogue - little more than a "cowboy" corrupted by a monster - and a potential threat to their ancient order. As knights and their sentient weapons begin dying, Matt teams up with other hunters of his kind such as LUIZA, a woman with a conquistador blade; ALLAN, an Englishman with an Egyptian khopesh; MALCOLM, a voodoo priest with a sanctified machete; and TAKAIRA, a naginata-swinging Samurai.

A great story and narrator.
Another audiobook that is hard to "put down". If you like Alien/Space novels you will be thrilled with this series. RC Bray never disappoints.

Liked it
Well first off it's R.C. Bray narrating it, so you know the characterizations will be believable,
Good story with certain "historical" tie-ins, although I couldn't help think of the bad-guys as being like the ones portrayed in the movie "Galaxy Quest" (not to detract).

One of the best
If not the best sci-fi series I have ever heard. Everything about these stories is captivating. They suck you in and keep you hooked. Really hope Dean M Cole does continue with this series. Absolutely will have to be narrated by R. C. Bray, if do write more, hint hint, please Mr. Cole.
Love the whole series and was disappointed that there are not anymore yet. And I don’t normally write reviews but this series cries out for a good review.

Not part of the Dimension Space series.
This may be obvious to some but to me it wasn’t, this is Not part of the “Dimension Space” series. There are lots lot of similarities which confuse me.
There is not enough characters development, so you are left wondering how they fit into this changed environment.
The story also plays out with the main characters as observers rather than participants.
Maybe I need to read “Sector 64: First Contact” be for “Ambush”

Good aliens book
The story line was interesting, but since I went through the other series-what's up with the laser beams? Too similar to amplitude. Plenty of action and adventure.

Cheese de lux
Book 0.5 was great, setting a good and very interesting foundation for the series.
This book however is so cheesy that it spoiled the story.
For example Sandy's ordeal with the smelly creeps had no place in this story, it just added more cheese.
RC Bray was great as usual, but one could hear that even he suffered through the cheesy sections.
