About this listen

Roses are red, violets are blue, and Olivia Rickard is officially the worst at fixing relationships. Case in point: Olivia decides the best way to go about getting her boyfriend back is to tail him around town. There’s no way daring to spy on Andrew’s date was going to end well...but Olivia didn’t expect it to end in death.

Hannah Maclin, Andrew’s date, is found dead in the parking lot of the restaurant with a tacky rose sticking out of her chest and lots of suspects near the scene of the crime. Hannah wasn’t a well-loved woman, and she’s got a long list of enemies and haters that the police believe includes Andrew. While Olivia thinks this is preposterous, it’s given her a reason to go sleuthing again. Before she can fix her love life, she has to make sure the man she loves stays out of jail!

As Olivia dives into a two-part mystery of solving a murder and tracking her ex-boyfriend’s puzzling movements, she finds that the two investigations weave together in the old secrets and hidden passions of the town. Her mission becomes finding the truth in the misinformation, but Olivia will need to be careful - she can’t miss a clue or she’ll lose the love of her life.

Just as much fun as the first 3 books!

I have really enjoyed this series. It a fun mix of mystery and confused romance. This story revolves around two people who lack in communication skills which cause lots of misunderstandings, jealousy, etc. The mix of the two in the story add some extra interest to the plot. The author does a great job with keeping the mystery throughout the story and the story moves fast enough to keep the reader hooked. Machelle Williams does a wonderful job with the narration and makes the story even more enjoyable.

Quaint read

This was a very good book. There is a good combination of romance, suspense, murder and mystery. The narrator has done a great job of reading this story.

Love, Murder and Adorable Dogs

When her former, and she thought current boyfriend is the last person seen with a local waitress before she turns up dead, Olivia can't resist looking into who killed the girl ... and what's going on with Andrew's late nights, cancelled dates and elusiveness.
This charming mystery story features the bumbling but determined and very lucky Olivia, her mercurial sister, the stoic and long-suffering boyfriend Andrew and a cast of supporting, gossipy small town characters - and who could ever forget the four-legged cast of misfits who hang out at Olivia's doggie day care and dog walking service.
You'll love working your way through the clues to this who-dun-it with Olivia, smiling all the way at her missteps and the dogs crazy antics.
A great summer vacation story, expertly narrated my Machelle Williams.

Quick, fun listen!

Don't worry! Even though this is book 4, it certainly can stand alone. I am so glad I listened to this. Stella St. Claire has a quirky, fun story that is sure to make you feel good. This cozy mystery features Olivia, a dog walker who has recently reconciled with her boyfriend Andrew. Or has she? Olivia is not feeling confident with their relationship and when she spots Andrew out with another woman, she is crushed. When this woman shows up dead the next day, Olivia is certain that Andrew though a suspect is not the killer. Using her sleuthing skills, she does her best to secretly try to clear his name. But will she be able to? Does he still love her? And who is the killer? I love this listen, it's full of interesting characters and the town is just like you expect a small town to be, with a book store and a florist. That down home feeling is just what this cozy has to make you feel, well...cozy! And the best part you ask? I loved the dogs! A great narration by Machelle Williams, the mystery flows with humor and action. A good listen to keep you guessing to the very end.

An Awesome Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, and found it very entertaining. The characters are very interesting and well written. Just when Olivia starts to think everything in her life is turning for the better, she finds out it's not. So to get her mind off her problems she decides to solve her friends vandalism case, instead of the murder her boyfriend is a suspect in. Of course nothing works out how Olivia wants it to though. Once again humour and suspense fill this very charming tale. The character just grow on you, I'm looking forward to the next book.

Fun Listen

I so enjoy the Happy Tails Dog Walking Mysteries by Stella St. Claire. Oliva and Andrew have not yet repaired their relationship to what it once was at the beginning of the book. Oliva has a panache for finding dead bodies much to Andrew's dismay. When he starts acting suspicious, the fun and miscommunication begins. I love how the towns people also get in on their relationship. The imagery in this book is wonderful and the narration by Machelle Williams is fitting. I love how she gives various characters voices. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. The twists in the book are great along with the quirky characters. I will definitely listen to more books by the author and narrator.
