About this listen

She’s been stolen from her home and forced to wed an arrogant Alien King...

Reaching twenty-five without experiencing the Royal Bride Raiders was a miracle.

I'd kept my head down and avoided attention, despite my sister and best friend finding themselves selected in seasons past.

Until one day my luck ran out…

Now, I’ve been taken to a distant planet far from my mother and sister to match with an arrogant Alien King I've never met.

I don’t care if I’m breaking interplanetary laws. I won’t be some baby farm for a self-important alien—no matter how handsome he is.

But I may not have to worry about being chosen as his mate, because I think he hates me—just as much as I hate him.

Alien’s Rejected Bride is the first book in The brand new Royal Bride Raids Series from author Aurora Storm.

This is a High fantasy SciFi Mates Romance for readers 18+.

did not like AI voice boring, monotone, prefer a person that can add reality to the story with the right inflections

loved the story

This was a different one for sure. It’s actually about the human world and the Fay world and quite a different twist on an alien, forcing a human to become a bride. Very good story.

I absolutely enjoyed this book. I could complain about the virtual voice but I didn’t care. It doesn’t bother me when the storyline is that good.

Wonderful

the story seemed interesting but the AI was killing me, no infliction nor emotion. Wish the had a human thhst could read 🤧

the AI reader grated my nerves after a while

Story was enjoyable but virtual voice cadence and lack of inflection ruined any enjoyment. Had to listen on 2x speed just to power through it.
PLEASE PLEASE keep human narrators!

Virtual voice ruined this

I don't really care for the computer voice because every time you change a chapter you miss a few words and it has a long pause it cuts and cuts it off

I did not like having an AI reader. It brought no emotion to the read and took away from the story. I had to force myself to finish listening because of it. The story, however, was short but nice.

AI Reader - No thanks, but story is cute

Not sure if I like the virtual voice. no male or female voices, no emotion and only slight inflection. It all took away from the story.

if they can do virtual voice why can't they do male and female voices

This story has no meat. There is no true conflict that is explored, no prolonged battle of wills, no change. After two weeks of tutoring, she suddenly comes out with acceptance and seeks to wield power she hasn’t yet been given. It’s ridiculous. There is potential for better here, but the author was either too lazy or lacking creativity to expand upon a very basic storyline.

Where’s the beef?
