Good writing but maybe pass if married

This story has great writing and great characters. I just love TJR. However, if you’re in a happy marriage I don’t think I’d recommend. It does something mentally to you where you start to get so involved in their story that you venture to think you, too, might be happier in a different scenario. For example, it’s starting to make me see all the negatives with my partner instead of all the things that make him wonderful. Anyway, good story but thought it was worth mentioning!

Every emotion is felt

Taylor Jenkins Reid snuck up on me. I found it hard to get through Seven Husbands but randomly picked another novel and haven’t stopped. I was not disappointed in “After I Do”. Characters are so lovable, Raw emotion felt. And a few smiles.

Loved it!

This is real life! Listened in one day and could not stop. I love that it’s not a perfect story.

Didn’t want it to end!

Good story line was totally absorbed in the love and lives of the marriage and family.

Easy going quick novel

I enjoyed the story and the narration. Not my favorite, but I found the characters to be relatable. Worth a listen.

My new favorite author with my favorite narrator, has to be 5 stars all around.

Sweet story made so much more compelling because of Julia’s outstanding narration!

A little bittersweet, a little thought provoking and a little laugh out loud funny. Kudos to the grandma character!

Another great one from this duo!

I loved it so much I immediately bought another TJR/Whelan read. Also recommend listening to their chat afterwards - I don’t normally but decided to and it was so enlightening!!

I had to stop reading but so glad I finished it!

Being that I'm in a very similar situation as Ryan & Lauren this hit way too close to home. I had to put it down an go read something else I even tried to return it but they wouldn't let me lol. I'm so glad I came back to bc it gave me so much Insight an a different perspective to help me grow as a person. An it's so incredibly funny :)

Fantastic read about marriage

This story is so insightful about first love and reality of how marriages can reach a lull. Recognizing what changed between a man and woman who essentially love each other but forgot how to show it. Great read with awesome characters!
