Imagine death as a stepping stone

In Meredith Tucker’s short story After Death, death can be a stepping stone to continue life, slightly different. Jessica, the main character, dies at the age of 90, leaving behind her husband, children and grandchildren. She awakens into a Second Generation of life, a service paid for prior to her death.

The story follows Jessica as she is guided through her new journey by Emily, a hologram who is actually alive on “Earth”. Jessica gets to have visits from her husband and other living family members as holograms like Emily.

As she patiently waits for her husband, Jessica learns to love herself and follow dreams never realized while she was alive.

The author does a wonderful job of guiding the listener through a scenario beyond reality without creating confusion. The narrator is smooth and convincing when changing characters. I would recommend this audiobook to those who enjoy futuristic sci-fi as well as people who like short stories. A wide range of people would enjoy After Death.

I was given a free copy of this audiobook for my unbiased review.

I could have listened to this forever!

I was absolutely entranced by this book. The author’s imagination is amazing and also so realistic and detailed at points.

It was such an interesting and enthralling read which was made even more so by the excellent narration.

There were no loose ends left dangling for you to wonder about…. The first thing I did after finishing this book was to listen again.

I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a well thought out, interesting read that will spur their imagination as well!

Amazing Story

I received this audio book free from the author as I intrigued by the synopsis. I really enjoyed the premise of the story and would love to get more stories. The narrator was perfect for the part and made the story come alive. Please release more like this. I am a convert. Recommend to all!

Very entertaining.

I enjoyed After Death very much eventhough it doesn't have much of a plot. It just about this woman's experience as a digital presence in a computer generated afterlife. The dearly departed can interact with family and friends Via facebook and other social media. The Author tends to repeat herself at times wh I found anoying. But I definately will read more of her work as she creates wonderful worlds.
