About this listen

This selection features more than 90 poems themed in five chapters using a wandering premise to take you along "Accidental Passages". Chapter one, "Wee-aged Wanderings", begins the listener's journey through my earliest recorded mindsets, ranging from when I was 16 to 20 years old. It is the only section that follows a chronological order. The other four chapters randomly roam over the next 16 years of my life. "Wayward Wanderings," "Winding Wanderings," and "Worldly Wanderings" move along more cerebral (and hopefully thought provoking) pathways. My attempts to play and explore with varying approaches marks the direction of "Wayward Wanderings". "Winding Wanderings" treads along questions of perception while doing a fair amount of soul searching. The mental adventuring continues in "Worldly Wanderings", with more concrete reflections on culture and public affairs. Moving on to the last and longest stage of the expedition, "Wandering Within" brings the listener to the heart of this escapade. The writings get personal in this chapter, with reflections on the past, moments captured in the present, and hopes for what can only be a hope for a pleasant series of "Accidental Passages" to come. The audio version is read by the author, R.E. Larson, and produced by Patrick O'Shea. Cover art is by Joan Stevens.
