Great start to a very promising series

This had great, funny, but flawed characters, coupled with an interesting plot set in a dystopian future. Jesicca is a strong, female protaginist. A lot of interesting twists. Very enjoyable.

Great start to a promising series

Enjoyed the fast pace action, although the training sequence could be just a little tedious, but it all makes sense as to why everything went down. Great ending.

Just spent my whole day listening while I should have been studying! Fantastic world building nad well developed characters. Great twists at the end and promise of future books! Loved it!

great book

I really got into this book! It was a little slower at first but really picked up and the second one was even better. Can't wait to the 3rd!

Loved my first of Nixon's books

This was my first book by the Author and I really enjoyed it. The first few chapters were moving a little quickly and hard for me to get into, but once I got into the story I was hooked!
My wife and kids read his other book "Nickle Brickle'Bee" but I haven't yet. I guess it's time to go check that one out as well.

Several plot twists kept this story engaging until the very end and I can't wait to move onto the next book in the Series!

Slow Start— but couldn’t put it down

I had a hard time getting into the story through the first two or three chapters— but after that I quickly fell into the story and the world building. The narrator wasn’t my favorite, but the story spoke for itself and made me thoroughly glad I don’t live anywhere with roaches 😂

Excellent sci-fi meshed with 300

The tech in this book is very cool. A mix of tron and sparta, the last city of Earth defends itself with brutal efficenty. But the book takes some interesting twists and turns along the way as a friendship develops between teh two most unlikely of people. Narrator did great too.

Fantastic book coupled with great narration

I listened to another, YA book from author, Nickle Brickle'Bee, and I was intrigued by this one as well. Starts out mysterious with odd behavior in the city of ACADIA. This novel had some great twists and turns. Great for people that enjoy YA dystopians. I'm off to the next one!

Great Book

Give it a few chapters due to slow start. Picks up and gets better quick.

Excellent start

Plots twist and great chracters. Really enjoyed this one--I listen while I do yard work, and this audible book, was a great thing for my yard. I kept skipping watching TV so I could listen to this one while I work on the yard. Great work.
