The voice actors were amazing! Made me get into! I love the duet style the best

Well…

So…some of this is just pain cheesy and immature. There is some suspense and some well done spicy scenes as well. There is also a major **TW** here for sexual abuse. The narrators did a good job. But the dialog was just not ask that believable many times. If the writer was going for a lite mafia rom com with some suspense then mission accomplished. That said, I’m not sure I’ll go on to other books in the series.

The book and audiobook are absolutely outstanding the twists and turns the plots and character development are incredible and really bring the book to life!

I love an obsessed man.

Sure, i also didn’t like that the first time we met the MMC he’s (trying) to receive a happy ending but in his defense at that time he and the FMC are not together and his obsession (FMC) helps him along when she walks in. She didnt hold it against him cause its not cheating. And she was kinda into it. 😅😅

Anyways i definitely do not gwt the hate but thats just me.

Even though Misty kinda irked me with her stubbornness at times, but the MMC loved her challenges and it overall worked for this story. I loved how obsessed/possesive/protective Damon was. Will definitely be reading the next book!

~ SO DAMN DISAPPOINTING ~

I love underworld Secret Societies and the red flag Billionaire alphas who rule from their privileged royal thrones.. but sadly this listen was disappointing as obsessed Damon falls instantly and hopelessly in love with damaged pastel haired Misty. I also love a good fake marriage of convenience however, I didn’t think the older voice of Jack Calihan fit the hero at all or matched the age of the heroine in their duet-style narration.. and I personally would avoid another romance narrated by JC. I also thought some of it was immature, over the top, lacked detail and jumped in parts. There were some tense suspenseful scenes - however I just couldn’t connect with the characters because of the mismatched narration. It could be a ‘me’ thing rather than a we thing so check out another one of his narrated books to judge for yourselves.

Worth a credit? I x1.5 the speed and did listen until the end.. but sadly, despite the dark and sometimes dirty, it’s unfortunately a no. Triggers: a previous rape scene half described - violence - torture - kidnapping - bloodshed.

Worst Story and Narrating Ever

First time reading this authors work. The book was downloaded by mistake and Audible refused a return and replacement. Called them within 10 minutes of realizing the mistake. The female narrator sounds like a fourth grader. There’s no passion no emphasis just dull reading. This book was a complete rip-off. The male narrator was excellent.
