About this listen

He wanted nothing at all...until he found she had everything to give.... Sunder lead singer and guitarist Sebastian Stone has everything - fans, fame, and fortune. He also has a heart full of bitterness and a reputation for a short-fused temper. But an outward reputation rarely reveals the true man inside.

Facing assault charges after trying to protect his younger brother, Sebastian is sent to Savannah, Georgia, to lie low until the dust settles in LA. Shea Bentley is beautiful, kind, and hiding from the very lifestyle Sebastian has always embraced. When the mysterious, tattooed stranger begins hanging out at the bar where she works, Shea is quick to recognize he is nothing but trouble, but she's helpless to the way her body lights up every time his intense gray eyes tangle with hers. They both soon find themselves drowning in a sea of desire and passion that won't let them up for air.

Sebastian knows firsthand secrets never die, and he's not the only one who's hiding them. Loving someone always comes with a price. But will it be Shea's past that costs them everything?

Excellent

One of the best romance novels I have listened to in a long time. The story is well written - no information dumps telling the listener what's happening, instead it reveals information as it is necessary. You know there are more pieces to the story, but until they are necessary, they are withheld with only hints being dropped. You NEED to listen/read this book.

Terrible cliffhanger.

This was a good story...but leaves the reader totally hanging at the end with a child being taken away from her mother by DCPS authorities by manufactured charges. This is offensive to this reader. I would not have wasted my time reading it had I known I would be forced to purchase another book to find out what happens and am left with the picture of a four-year-old girl sobbing her heart out as she's driven away from her mother tearfully watching her go.

I just couldn't BREATHE!!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE Sebastian York he has the most sexiest voice ever and everything he narrates comes to life in the most HOTTEST way imaginable. He did an awesome job bringing Sebastian character (himself) to life I simply adore him, every book he's narrated has been amazing his voice is pure HEAVEN!! Andi Arndt was great loved how she embodied Shea's character with her southern accent a perfect tone of voice.

I have both versions of this book so it was awesome switching back and forth. I have to say I really wasn't expecting this BIG OMG TWIST at the end I felt like Sebastian and She, just falling, completely floored. My whole world was knocked out from under me I'm so confused I don't know how to feel WOW!!! This book was amazing a big rollercoaster of emotions of all kinds. Everything each character was going through especially Sebastian was so palpable it was insane. Definitely keep me on the edge of wanting to know more and not wanting to keep reading all at the same time, how crazy is that. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE A.L. Jackson she is an amazing author and her availability to put such great stories together is beyond amazing her styles writing is impressive and well put together. This books definitely left me wanting more I swear I don't know how to feel, all this agony, heartbreak, and pain has left me empty. Can't wait to read the next book on Sebastian and sea, highly recommend this book.

An enjoyable read! Good twist at the end!

The story was well paced. I enjoyed the characters. It had a hit of similarity to "The Sinners" but not so much that it felt like a repeat. The only aspect I didn't like was the authors use of repetition for emphasis. "Hard, pause hard pause hard", "Roar pause Roar pause roar" deep etc more etc. That felt overused after about the fifth time. Looking forward to the next in the series.

gorgeous cover, awesome listen

Would you consider the audio edition of A Stone in the Sea to be better than the print version?

I did just listen, no reading for me ... I did try to find this on Goodreads to leave a review there so I am wondering what or how to find it??

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Stone in the Sea?

The amazing characters, the details ... & listening to Andi Arndt pull off a southern accent ... not sure what her normal every day accent is ...but she is so talented. Such an enjoyable time when you get to amazing voice and I really enjoy her and Sebastian together ... something about their voice together or within the same read .. so awesome!!

Which character – as performed by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York – was your favorite?

I enjoyed the band characters ... or either the characters in the bar ... just the descriptive words and what was going on ... such awesome.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I never am able to listen to a book in one sitting ... that is just not available ... I do carry my kindle with me every where .. doing chores and other household things ... don't feel comfortable taking it with me in the car though ... don't wanna break it. don't have Audible on my phone .. we will see. gotta take more car trips that would be awesome!!
