Very satisfying ending

It was a slow go and a little triggering having grown up during the purity culture era. The last few chapters made up for the slow start for sure

Couldn’t put it down!

This was a great read. It took a little concentration for me to get into it in the beginning simply because I always have trouble keeping track of different characters perspective when they’re split by chapter. That being said, it didn’t take away from the book- just a warning to other adhd-ers to stick it out haha!

There is a review that someone else left that made comments about how the paranormal wasn’t necessary- I’m telling you right now, that person just picked the wrong genre and didn’t realize it. The paranormal isn’t some random side story- it IS the plot of the book. And it was really well done, used as a “one possible explanation for Christianity and cult-like religion.”

Loved It!

Another slam dunk home run touchdown for Vera Kurian. Loved every minute of it and got very emotionally attached to the protagonists. Bravo 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻

This book kept my attention all the way through! My thoughts didn't stray to random things! Best book I've listened to for awhile. on my way to see what else the author has written.

I loved all the characters I'm watching the evolution from their younger selves to their older selves. I love a good paranormal mystery type story and this was wonderful all the way around!

Pretty Good

I really liked this one. A lil paranormal but not crazy, just as I like it. The friendships that develop are great and if teens will read and act upon the examples of the friends in this book - maybe fewer kids will be shit on in school by the cliques that inevitably develope around them.

Really liked it except for the paranormal.

The story was really good and there was a side “ish” sub plot that could easily have been written about that would have made the book so much better. The spin it currently has seems to diminish it. Character development was fairly well done. Overall the story itself was interesting.

Narration was good for the various characters portrayed.
