About this listen

Someone is making very determined attempts to murder inoffensive newly-qualified Doctor Humphrey Jardine. Could this be related to the body which he discovered in Hampstead - and which when he returned with the police had entirely disappeared? Or perhaps the odd circumstances surrounding the death of Septimus Maddock may be the key? Fortunately, celebrated medical jurist Dr. John Thorndyke comes to the aid of his erstwhile student to unravel the mystery....

On par with Sherlock

Dr Thorndyke stories are as good as Sherlock’s adventures in my opinion. They share a similar style of story telling and narration. Any fan of Sherlock will enjoy this series. To this particular audiobook the narrator does and excellent job of voicing the characters and the mystery and solution is excellent.
