About this listen

Tragedy strikes Palmetto Deaf School - twice. With one student murdered and another missing, it's up to homicide detective Catelyn Clark to find the killer - and probable kidnapper - fast.

She'll even work with her ex-boyfriend, FBI agent Joseph Santino, to solve the case...while keeping her distance. Relationships between cops never work; her parents taught her that. They also taught her that the only one she can rely on is herself.

But when the killer starts targeting Catelyn, it's only by opening her heart to faith - and love - that she can finally bring the silent fury to an end.

We may think of handicapped kids as different, but other than their disability, they face the same temptations and challenges as other kids. It’s sad when people they trust, people in position to help them, take advantage of them. I figured out the two villains early on, unusual for me.

After a long separation due to differences between them the main characters have to work together to solve crimes. Each had different opinions on roles in the future relationship. Have expectations changed. This book has a twist you won’t see coming!

Free to Be Herself

Struggled to like Caytlin, but love Joseph. His compromise to appease. One sided to help her deal with unnecessary baggage. The suspense and mystery had a surprising who done it end. Another great read by the author

I enjoyed the storyline as well as the characters. Love the 'real people' aspect too.

Excellent storyline!

This story delves into the non-hearing world and how they live. Circumstantial evidence points one way but gut instinct behind to point another. Which direction should the two investigating go? That they're personally involved is somehow overlooked in this story. The romantic aspect of the story is a reconnection between Joseph and Catelyn. Will they rebuild their love and get back together? That remains there question until the end of the story. Overall, this is a solid storyline of loyalty, investigating, possible love reconnection and family. A definite recommendation to listen or read this story.

Interesting story that continues the series

I enjoyed listening to this book. The plot and theme of the story was very interesting.

Suspense

I love Lynette Radon’s books, but this narration was so poor, it dramatically impacted my ability to enjoy the book. Virtually every emotion the characters experienced was read in a monotone voice. It made the story seem simplistic and unexciting.

Narrator needs work
