About this listen

The Fitzwarren brothers are set on a quest to take back what belongs to them.

Richard has lost everything to Andrew Kineer, even his identity. Whether he will be able to reclaim it remains to be seen. The backdrop to their own struggle is the political tension in England. Mary I, convinced God has given her the task of returning England to the true faith, sends the Protestant reformers a stark and violent message.

Jack finds himself in a difficult and dangerous situation. His patience and his loyalty are sorely tested.

Catherine finds herself uncomfortably close to Elizabeth and is forced to accompany her to court, a court full of watchful eyes and whispers. Christopher Morley soon makes the most of this opportunity, pressing Catherine to embroil herself further in his schemes.

The Nuts and Bolts of the Renisasance

Live the Renisasance in a Queen's Knight with our 2 intrepid brothers as they adventure to make their fortunes. The mind of Sam Burnell never puts them in the situation you expect them or want them to go. Even so, they continue to land on their feet, if not by the skin of their teeth. The harrowing details of their near brushes with death and the plots against them are solved only by their own wits and dedication to one another. It is a time where knowledge, innovation and alcamy began to overcome brut force and the power of nobility. The Fitzwarren brothers make themselves prisoners by design in the mediterranean isles; held by the most fearsome fighters in the world. A gamble of audacity that might or might not succeed.

Enjoyable narration

The new narrator, Nate Williams is wonderful to listen to and does these stories real justice. He gives each character their own distinctive personality and it's really easy to visualise them as you listen.

Good Stories and Well Narrated

The English narrator is lovely to listen to and Sam Burnell's books are a real slice of Tudor history - so glad I tripped over these.

Enjoyable Books

The books follow the lives of two brothers and their journey through Tudor England as they face one trial after another. The author puts them through literally everything and time and again they rise to the challenge.
