Exciting adventure, great storyline!

I really enjoyed the story. The first part of the book was fun and adventurous and exciting. I often was laughing or grinning! The part of the book where Vore and Lettie went on their mission was so exciting I had to listen to the end. The story is very well written and I found it very entertaining. Having read several other books of this author I can recommend reading and/or listening to her books.
The performance of the narrator is excellent, he does all the different characters perfectly. It makes the story more lively and intense (especially when you read and listen at the same time). His voice for Vore was a pleasure to listen to, definitely 5 stars for his performance👍

Loved It!

“Thank you for looking after me, Vore.”  But Lettie didn’t get up. And Vore didn’t move. “Maybe I was wrong about you.”

I loved this book when I bought it a few years ago. I believe it was the first Tallean book I'd read at the time and fell in love. Now I'm excited that the series is being made into audiobooks AND narrated by Troy Duran. He's perfect for alien romance. I love his tone of voice for the male leads. He does a good distinctive female voice. And I like that there's almost a soothing quality to the narrative parts that are not dialogue.

I liked Vore's personality. He's charming and has a reputation with the ladies, but actually longs for a mate of his own. Lettie was attracted to him from the start no matter how much she didn't want to be and was determined to resist him. I liked the push and pull between these two- like magnets. And Vore doesn't give up easily.

I love revisiting this series in audio and excited for more!

This couple is fire

This couple is fire, if only they’d get out of their own way. The FMC was scared of being hurt again, and by all accounts, the MMC is exactly the same as the guy who broke her heart…except that he isn’t. At times it felt like Lettie was punishing Vore for what her ex did, and she had a hard time moving past that. But once they both got past this, oh they are absolutely beautiful together. So much passion between these two.

Troy Duran has the perfect growl voice for Vore, and he does so well with the other voices. Really enjoyed listening to him narrate this.

That growl had me by the throat🫠

I love growly narrators, IDK if it's an affliction or if everybody else loves them too, but this narrator (Troy Duran) can GROWL! I'm talking Teddy Hamilton good- he had me in a chokehold for the entire book. I was totally convinced an alien mercenary was trying to win me over and lemme tell you those dirty parts hit differently 😁🤣. A+ job on narration, now let's get to the story...

In the very beginning of the book, I wasn't too happy with Vore the MMC, as we're shown how big of a Casanova he is with the ladies. My eyes were narrowed and I watched him like a hawk from that point on. But! I have to say he quickly grew on me and I was firmly on his side in no time- which I didn't think was possible but he really puts in the effort. I also really loved and connected with the FMC, she had been cheated on previously (haven't we all) and though she was cautious she also lived life to the fullest and was a total baddie in her own right.

I loved all of the adventures they went on and the side cast we met, and totally believed in the worldbuilding and plot.
And I was completely fulfilled by the end of the book (HEA for the couple).

Great Narration, Easy Listen

The story of the Tallean mercenaries and their human females mates continues in this third book.

The story flowed well, and there were quite a few spicy scenes. I liked the characters but it took me a while to get there. The human females tend to be portrayed as submissive, and I'd prefer a little bit more kickassery in a FMC and a bit more grovelling from the MMC especially after kidnapping her. In the end they make a good couple and understand each other. I did enjoy how the author orchestrated their adventure together before leaving on the ship and then how they develop a working relationship and mutual respect. As always the HEA is nice and I liked the preview of the next book. I thought the narration was great. Troy Duran does a great job of capturing the characters personalities. He definitely does a good growl. I have been listening to more dual narrations recently and definitely enjoy that but the single narration was done very well.

Vore

This story was interesting, captivating, and hot. Vore was misunderstood but he figures out how to show what he wants when he wants it. The plot was good and the narrator was hot to listen too and portrayed the characters well. I will definitely be listening to more I need to know what awaits these humans!

Resistance Is Futile... But Fun!

This audiobook was a treat! Troy Duran's narration is fantastic - especially his portrayal of Vore. I loved watching Lettie try to resist Vore's charm while he was completely determined to win her over. Her journey from resistance to acceptance feels authentic given her past relationship trauma, and their chemistry is palpable throughout, making their eventual coming together feel earned. Definitely worth a listen!

Vore and Lettie

The third book in the Tallean Mercenaries series is a well written story with a great storyline that I enjoyed reading and seeing Vore and Lettie's steamy story get a happy ending. I enjoyed listening to Troy Duran narrate their story. I would like to listen to the next book.

As always, he’s the best at alien alpha growliness. Full disclosure I already loved this book. But his narration when it comes to sci fi is great, and unlike other men his imitation of female voices doesn’t make me want to choke him out. Wish more authors in SFR would employ you in their audibles.

Hot & Spicy

It’s amazing how you can read a book, enjoy it and then listen to it and it’s like an entirely new story! I just loved the narrator and how he brought the characters to life. I felt so sorry for poor Vore! Lettie put him through the wringer. And that party? Ooh la la! I loved it! Thank you for the opportunity to listen to the audio version Ms. Lee
