A Mommy for Christmas-Cute Short Plus Bonus Story

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

A Mommy For Christmas

This is a feel good romance short story. While it is predictable it makes you feel warm and gooey inside.

I appreciate the writers style and think that if she chose to she could have a full-length novel that would be really interesting and I would buy it. A longer book would need a bit of confrontation or friction either outside or within the relationship. But that is not what is called for or advertised in this short story.

Tiffany Williams is a fantastic narrator and does a great job with both adults and children portrayals. The voice is easy and soothing to listen to and I will keep an eye out for more titles narrated by this author narrator

NOTE: There are a few bedroom scene

Credit/$ Worthy: I would not use the credit on this, I'm not in the habit oif buying short stories - it is under $5 for less than 2 hours (2 short stories included)...*I was given a copy to listen to in exchange for my thoughts and this review.*

Sweet Christmas Romance

A Mommy for Christmas and its bonus story As you Wish, novellas, we're short and sweet. Unfortunately with so much going on, the stories could've been fleshed out more and made into full length novels. It felt a little rushed. Williams gave a nice performance, especially impressed with her children's voices.

Sweet quick listen while baking holiday cookies or wrapping gifts. It has that warm holiday charm and can easily be listened to in one afternoon.

I wish it had a nice cover. 🤔

a short and sweet story.

It makes me sad to hear about Lola's mother. However, that is true life. I really enjoy the romance aspect of the story.

Two sweet, but brief romances

This is a twofer, you get A Mommy For Christmas and a short bonus read of Meant To Be Always. They are both fairly wholesome romances. That means closed bedroom door, although there isn't really and bedroom action. It is a few sedate kisses at best.

The first book has Melanie and Jackson, who are both healing from life. Jackson from his wife's passing and caring for his young daughter. Melanie from a broken engagement and a want for motherhood.

The story alternates between bother of their POV, I prefer this sort of mixed narrative. It really makes for a fuller story.

This story is super short, it really could be lengthened and have the romance play out over a longer period of time. While it was a sweet read, it did leave me wanting more story.

The second story is even shorter and less believable. Maddie and Brice, have great chemistry but one night does not forever make. This is another story that would benefit from more length to truly develop the romance.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Tiffany Williams, who does a lovely job. Her voice and energy are perfectly suited to this sweet romance. I enjoyed her character's voices and the distinctions she gave them. It was always clear who was speaking. Her tone has a soft and feminine quality that is great for a sappy love story. I would love to hear more of her reads in this genre.

These are two quick Holiday reads that have a lovely premise. I would enjoy reading more of this author and seeing her expand her romances into longer novels. I think she has so much to offer and length would enhance the relationships she creates.

Disclosure- I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts, opinions and ratings are my own.

A Mommy for Christmas

Would you consider the audio edition of A Mommy for Christmas to be better than the print version?

Yes, I enjoyed the voices that the narrator used.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Melanie Her self pitty changed once she realized how much she was needed by her neice, Lola and her new neighbor, Spencer.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Spencer talked to Emma and she answered him by deleting the light from her star.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both i lost my love one two years ago and this story made me realize it is natural to feel bad and to cry, but that in time things will get better.

Any additional comments?

Tiffany, the narrator, did a good job with all the voices, but particularly sounded exactly like a 4 year old child.

2 very short stories ...

Any additional comments?

A Mommy for Christmas and its bonus story As you Wish are what I would call novells/short stories. While the plots of both stories had potential for longer books, I felt that they were a little rushed to be short stories. Too much happening for the length of the story. If Ms. Zwissler fleshed out the stories a little more they would be great novels.

I enjoyed Ms. Williams performances of these two books. She does great children's voices. I would like to listen to more of her work.

At 1 hour and 40 minutes, these stories can easily be listened to in one sitting.

I would recommend these stories to someone who likes 'lite/sweet' romance.
