Great Fun Read

I more or less binge listened to this series over the past few days. I re-listened to the first 2 and then listened to the remaining 4. Zoe is a fun character, and her adventures are now taking her outside her "comfort" zone of Fern Valley. Her relationship with Mike is key to these books, and I am thankful that was established early on. Here is what I would love in future books: (1) Mature Zoe a bit (less b-b-but, etc.); (2) I would like Mike voiced less as a surfer dude and more as the hunky boyfriend he is; and (3) I would love to see Zoe develop and interact with a circle of friends. None of this is to say these are not fun reads, just looking for some character development. I am so looking forward to Book 7.

I’m really enjoying this series

Erin Huss has crafted an original storyline with well developed characters and locations. Emily Wilson, as always, gives a wonderful performance as she brings the characters to life with their own distinct voices. I’m enjoying this series and look forward to the next one. I highly recommend this book/audiobook to cozy mystery fans.
