Best Deveraux Story

Would you listen to A Knight in Shining Armor again? Why?

I really love this story. I have read it about 4 times and still love it. The characters are great and the time period is too. I think this is one of her better books. The Unabridged version would be better, too much is left out in the abridged version.

What three words best describe Stephanie Zimbalist’s voice?

Stephanie was OK bet some other narrators are better at making more distinction between the different characters.

so almost 40 years have passed since I read this book the first time on it's original paper back form... was it as cheesey and it seems now? or is it the performance... I can't tell but it was still fun.

Where is the rest??

I have read this book numerous times from to back.. it’s a favorite.. was looking forward to the audible version... a lot of the book is missing.. like after nick went back to his time.. Douglas went to all the places they went to and ppl kept telling her they didn’t know what she was talking about.. all the details of being at the castle... how bout the queen finding out Douglas isn’t royalty?
And the narration.. u need a male and female .. I love love love the book it’s self... the audible version... not so much..

Love the story

The saga is captivating. I personally own most of Jude deveraux book collection. I had even named one of my children after a character in one of stories.

extremely abridged version

This is not the full book. This is an extremely abridged version. Miss all the fun, intrigue and other characters.

Too many key events missing.

I read this book years ago and still have the book. In fact I read it 23 years ago; it was the best book I had ever read about time travel. I was very disappointed with this ABRIDGER version of the book. It was shorten way too much. Maybe I am not being fair with my rating because like I said this book was and always has been my absolute favorite time travel book that I have had for years and have read it maybe 4 times through the years, so yes, I was very disappointed that so much was left out and a full version of the book would of been so much better, but has not been recorded yet that I know of.

Where does A Knight in Shining Armor rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The paper book is a better read since this is abridged, but I had read that one when it came out several times over the years. I love this story because it is unique to time travel and the audio though very good does not fully give all the hummer and adventure that is in the paper book. This audio book dose make me remember the whole package and I can fill in the blanks.
