About this listen

Two Sisters. One Prophecy. Many Secrets.

Amara was like any other princess from a once magical kingdom. Like most, she had secrets, her biggest one of all: She’s actually her twin sister Avery.

After Avery is taken from her ordinary life and brought to the mysterious kingdom of Soluna, she is introduced to the heir to the throne, and her twin sister, Amara.

Not everyone believes Amara is the rightful heir so she ventures off on the quest of her life to prove them wrong, leaving Avery behind to impersonate a sister and life she knows nothing about.

Follow both Avery and Amara as they discover more about themselves than they ever thought possible, including unbelievable powers.

Book one in the Twingenuity series.

Fun debut contemporary fantasy

The world and plot line of A Kingdom of Sun and Shadow was fun. I am interested in reading more and finding out what happens as there is a lot to still be explained.
That being said, there is still a lot to be explained. The pacing was off for me on this one, while we flip back and forth between the two sisters, a lot happened, and a lot didn’t happen. There was some weird timing for me. As in your life as you know it is completely upended and you just go along, and also wait to ask questions? Nope. The other thing is the first person POV. There is a lot of telling. That’s a pet peeve of mine. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It would benefit from stronger editing, but also, writing is hard!
That being said, I know this is a debut and think there’s a lot of potential here. I enjoyed the developing relationship between Avery and Zander, and to be honest, Avery’s storyline, and will read the second one to find out what is going on/what happens!

Great

This was a fantastic story and left me wanting book two. I love the secret identities and the edginess of the story. The author did a good job of keeping the story moving while giving in depth details. I definitely would recommend this for anyone who enjoys romance, fantasy and a plot that keeps you fully engaged!
