I Loved This Story; Great Series

A Haunted Disappearance was a pefect cozy. It had a great storyline and had me right from the start. I enjoyd the paranormal aspect and that it wasn't overdone. Lin was a wonderful character along with the supporting characters. Definitely recommended listening. I'll listen to other books written by J.A. Whiting.

Suzie Althens narration was excellent. She had a warm tone with perfect voice inflections. This was my first time to listen to her and I'll be looking for more audiobooks read by her. An overall awesome listen.

Great Listen

I have not listened to many ghost story mysteries. I really enjoyed this one by an author I was not familiar with. The narrator did a fantastic job as well. This particular book is part of a series but I found it an excellent standalone story. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, and/or publisher.

Who Done It.

this it the first book i have listened to by this author. I found it cute and charming.
After seeing the ghost of a girl who with her boyfriend had helped the Heroine after she slipped and fell, she along with the help of some of friends begin try and find out what happened. There is no body but the girl is reported as missing. They locate the boyfriend after asking around to find out who the and the boyfriend was by accident. He is walking to the police station to report his girlfriend missing. Then the girls father comes and demands the police to find out where his daughter is. When the heroine and the group begin asking around about the missing girl some people act strange about it. Also a similar missing person case happened 25 years earlier. Lin and her friends find out that the girl had been asking around about the earlier case. Now she is missing. Then the boy friend is murdered. Listen to the story and find out what happens.
I received this book free for an honest review. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Lots to like here!

Any additional comments?

I'm just beginning to develop a taste for ghost stories and thanks to this book, the journey continues. There was a lot to like here!

The main character and supporting cast were very likable. I knew when I downloaded this listen that there was a book one but this felt like a complete story. (Although I may go back to book one and learn more about Sebastian, the ghost in book one. He sounds like a hoot.)

The mystery was good. I kinda thought I knew whodunnit but I definitely enjoyed the big reveal.

The narrator was very good. She kept the voices separate and gave us a degree of young and old and male and female voices that were distinct and special. That kept the story moving. For my limited foray into ghost stories, I think this one is a winner.

Great Book!

This is a great book; this is the second book in the Lin Coffin Mystery series written by J A Whiting and narrated by Suzie Althens. Lin Coffin is enjoying her new life on the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. One night while helping her cousin and her cousin's band members load instruments and equipment into a van, she meets a friendly young couple who help her after she falls on the sidewalk. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator Suzie Althens did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
