Narration made me fall asleep
I loved the story but hated the narrator. He was so robotic and monotoned. Poor inflections. Sounded like he was reading a boring textbook.
They should’ve just have kept Meg Sylvan since we are used to her voice for Hades, and she’s an excellent narrator.

I like the narrator!
When I bought this audio book, I read a lot of reviews about the boring narrator. The first chapter I was afraid the reviews were right. But after listening for a while, I truly came to love Tyler Donne as Hades. He fit the character in my mind and I like the way he depicted the other God's in the story. I love Hades point of view and I love this story!

Cringy narrator
This book is amazing. I honestly prefer Hades’ POV to Persephone’s but this is honestly the worst narrator I think I’ve ever listened to. So monotone, no different tones for different characters and not at ALL how Hades should sound. I wanted to return within a chapter. Hopefully they get a different one for the second…

Great!!
This was perhaps the BEST retelling of a good book from the romantic partner's POV EVER. It wasn't a repeat of the story from the male's POV. It was an ENTIRE different story with a FEW familiar scenes from Hades' POV. FANTASTIC.

I love this series
Scarlett St. Clair is probably my favorite author and I love that this brings in Hades view. The narrator made this really hard to listen to at times. He’s very monotones and I did fall asleep at one point. I think he does a good job when is speaking as the characters but when he is describing the actions it’s hard to listen to.

Liked Seeing This From Hades Perspective
While initially I thought this would just be a rehash of A Touch of Darkness, there is a lot of new information introduced that really lays out Hades character better and explains a lot more of the original plot. I do wish the narrator had more of a deeper voice though.

Love her books but not this voice actor
Love these books and to hear hades perspective but I had the hardest time listening to it as intensely as Persephone’s version because this voice actor’s voice is blah.
