Left wanting more

So glad when I finished this that I learned book two was out the next day. No huge cliffhanger but definitely a wait what no!!! Don’t stop there!

A fantastic book

This book was amazing! The world building was phenomenal and not only that the story itself was so well written. I was enthralled with the characters and the storyline. I felt so bad for the fmc growing up hidden and with so many secrets.I was in total fantasy land with this book and totally hooked from start to finish . I can’t wait to see what happens next for these characters. The narrator did a spectacular job with all the characters . She did a wonderful job!

Loved it

A Cursed Son is the first book in the brand-new Remnants of the Fallen Kingdom series and this was just a fantastic way to start off a new series. This story just captivated me and the narration just drew me in. The world building was just outstanding and all of the characters just drew you in. You just learn so much information throughout this entire story and start to piece stuff together. Those dreams oh my gosh I need more immediately and all I can say is just wow. I was just so emotionally involved throughout the entire story and that ending. I hope the second book comes out soon. I don't know how long I can wait.

Absolutely loved it

Wow. I LOVED this. Couldn't stop listening, and I was so sad when it was over! Caitlin Kelly's narration was perfection, and she really brought the story to life. Each character voice was unique and authentic and made me feel immersed in the story. Astra's rambling thoughts and awkwardness were hilarious, and I found myself relating to her and her tendency to overthink. The dream-bond between her and Marlak was unique and provided a lot of excellent sexual tension that I just could not get enough of! Marlak was deliciously dark and tortured and broody. I just loved him. The slow burn was torturous, but in the BEST way. They kept resisting each other, fighting the bond they shared, and when their feelings finally came to light, the pay-off was just so satisfying. Highly, highly recommend, and I can't wait to get my hands on book 2.

Cannot Wait for the 2nd One!!!

I have been waiting for forever to read this one, and I am so glad that I listened to it for my first read-through!! The narrator wad very engaging and it was easy to distinctly identify characters.

I loved this book. I am so excited for the next one to release and for Astra and Marlak to be reunited.

An incredible start to a new series!

A Cursed Son by Day Leitao is book one in her new series, Remnants of the Fallen Kingdom. The narrator for the audiobook, Caitlin Kelly, was incredible and a perfect choice for this role.

What I loved:
- Lush worldbuilding with complex magic systems and intricate political landscapes
- Tricky and nefarious fae - my fae-vorite (haha)
- Personable, fleshed out, well thought out characters!!
- Complicated and intertwining love - maybe fated mates???
- Excellent supporting cast of characters
- Pacing that makes sense and seems consistent through the plot
- Hard to put down - I finished this within 36 hours of starting

Usually I’d write what I didn’t love here, but I truly don’t have any criticisms of this title. You can check my other ARC reviews to see that I usually do write something here :)

I am rating A Cursed Son 5/5 stars with an extra 3.5/5 spice rating using romance.io’s scale. This title is perfect for fans of Song of the Marked, ACOTAR, A Court this Cruel and Lovely, and similar titles.

I enjoyed listening

I have read this book when it was released. I enjoyed the story and characters. Its a delight how the narrator was able to breathe life to the characters of the story. Looking forward to the next installment.

Great Start to a New Series!

This was both a new author and a new narrator for me. I was pleasantly surprised by both. I must say it did take me a little bit to really get sucked into the the story. The story was good but with it being a new series it did take a little while to pick up the pace but when it did i couldn't stop listening. I usually just listen on my way back and forth to work but I actually listened the whole day at work just to see what would happen. I felt that the characters had a lot of depth and grew throughout the story. I cant wait to see what happens next. I think my only complaint is that the next book isn't out yet. I thought the narrator did a really good job with the characters and i enjoyed listening to her voice and how she brought each character to life. Definitely looking forward to the next book!

Amazing writing style!

I loved these two main characters and how they are written. I appreciated something different and unique, it was unpredictable! Mostly I just loved how this story was worded and I look forward to reading the next book.
