What follows is a race against time to try and find out who killed a supposedly innocent man and stuffed his body into his own trunk. As they look into potential suspects, they begin to discover dark secrets that are more unexpected than anything they’ve ever faced. But are these secrets attached to the murder, or is there someone else who is guilty. If Myrtle and Miles can’t solve this case quickly, one of them might end up being next.
This book is another great addition to the Myrtle Clover Series. With the same familiar characters, as well as a slew of new ones, this book adds even more depth to Bradley. Myrtle is her usual biting self, and Miles is the same lovable germaphobic sidekick that we know and love. With a somewhat darker turn of events than usual, we discover a web of lies and secrets even more sticky than usual. But the murderer was not who I was expecting, and the rabbit trails were perfect.
If you love Myrtle and Miles, this book is sure to keep you entertained. While it isn’t the best book to start the series on, this book is a good one and will make you laugh at the shenanigans and gasp at the shocking information revealed. The ending is perfect, and it made me eager to continue the series. Recommended for cozy mystery lovers and all southerners who have a love for small towns.
