Loved every minute of this series.

Heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. The narrator did a fantastic job performing this excellent series.

A series to read again and again

A beautiful blending of history with human emotion and sacrifice, seen through the eyes of multiple generations. Llywelyn skillfully sets Irish timeline with world history while bringing events to life.

its an honest story.

I loved it kind of. ptsd. I lived it. The old IRA men...Special Branch...even met Jerry Adams. This story is a true rendition of the Troubles. I still can't figure out how to tell the difference between a catholic and a prod just by looking at them

A must read

This entire story beginning with 1916 is a must read for anyone with Irish heritage to better understand our history and character.

Wonderful series conclusion!!

Anyone having an even passing interest in Irish history who enjoys historical fiction would love this series. I’ve now listened to all five and couldn’t recommend it more highly!

The “declaration” bookends: the one I’ve seen & read a hundred times & the other signed by John Hancock that I’d never heard, were perfect! Thank you Ms Llewelyn for many hours of listening pleasure!!!

Too much family drama

I like the Irish history,, but I thought the writing was poor and too focused on family drama rather than Irish History
